13 MD WR Paul Harris (UT commit 7/17/12)

Harris is a long, wiry wide receiver that was an immediate standout from the agility drills to the position drills to the one-on-ones. His length and hands combination, as well as great route-running ability make him a matchup nightmare.

Harris has seen his stock soar over the course of the spring and has USC, Michigan, Penn State and Tennessee among his favorites.

Well Conklin is the one that got us with Kameron Miles. Let's give him a chance to see what other D-1 recruits he can get us.

Honestly, I would have hired Tee to coach QBs and let Dooley handle ST instead of hiring Coiner.

In the end CFB is all about having superior talent, so you have to have a superior recruiting staff, especially at a place like UT, to get that talent.

Harris just seems like he has the frame, hands, and leaping ability to easily transition to the college game. I see him being a star in college football.

Would love UT to lock Harris up before the summer ends.

Legit question, does he not seem a little too skinny to be a standout WR in the SEC? I know he can pack on some pounds, but is it easy to keep your speed/quickness when you do that?

It would be ideal if he could gain a little more weight/muscle to play in the SEC, but there have been some standout WRs in the SEC who weren't very thick. Justin Hunter is an obvious choice, but he is such a freak athletically his lack of weight doesn't hinder him. Rivals lists Harris as weighing 185 pounds. That isn't that light. He could gain some muscle, but he has the frame to be a good WR.

Yikes.....lol

Pretty sure he was on there. He is going to be a hell of a recruiter. Like Ansley, you can see it coming from a mile away.

It sure would have been nice to have added him to the staff this off-season. I would have been good to with Dooley handling special teams and finding a spot for Tee. At Tennessee you need as many big-time recruiters as you can get.

@RyanCallahan247: Continue to hear good things about first-year #Vols CB coach Derrick Ansley on the recruiting trail. Md. WR Paul Harris just the latest.

One of the many bonuses from hiring Sunseri.

Ansley was one of the many upgrades in the staff that Dooley made. I had my doubts when we hired him but they are quickly going away. He is relentless on the recruiting trail.

Let's call it like it is. Anyone would've been an upgrade over Terry Joseph. (I really like Ansley. One of the most underrated hires we've made in some time.)

As a coach, yes Ansley is a upgrade over Joseph but Joseph was no slouch as a recruiter.

Per 247, Harris said He loved his visit, he said the thing he loved the most was the family enviroment. The staff told him he had a good chance of playing early b/c we might have 3 WR's leave for the NFL. They told Harris they might use him in the return game also. He said USC is #1 right now b/c he grew up liking them & they put a lot of WR's into the NFL. He said he has the best relationship w/ Tennessee though & he talks to them at least once every 3 days.

Good info, thanks

I like hearing that the staff is boasting we might have 3 WR's leave for the NFL

I don't think 3 is stretching it at all. 4 is downright lying though, unless he means we will lose 4 WR in general, which is possible.
