Like I4Jay said, we do have a little depth back there but that doesn't mean the depth is talented.

However...since he's ineligible for 2012, doesn't that mean if he stays at UT, gets his grades back up, and can rejoin the team in '13, he'll still count--for the '13 roster, not the '12?

Then you have Teague, Bonner, & Gray.

Blan, Thomas, Moore, Brewer, & McNeil are all Safeties.

Was Lanier expected to play safety this year? This casualty hurts IMO. Always need as much depth as possible but at least it was in the secondary.

Freshmen need time to develop. At this point, Teague is a better option most likely. Maybe mid season...
