I thought in an interview Dooley was calling this the "Money" position.

I played basketball growing up, so what exactly is a spur? New position name to me.... TIA

He may have, on my high school team we called it Spur. It is a safety who either has the size or playmaking ability of a LB. used as a hybrid, and used to create favorable match-ups

This is random, but when I hear "Spur", the first thing that comes to mind is the Man from Snowy River. A true classic.

I think Walls gets the starting spot, but Fowlkes will be getting alot of pt.
Sentimore is now up to 300lbs and Walls is almost 290lbs. When we add McCullers at 360-380lbs this summer, that will be the makings of a huge D-line. :loco:

Looks OK, except IMO Lathers will be inside & Maggitt at Sam.

No, the OP is probably right. It is much more likely that Maggitt and Johnson will end up playing side by side at ILB. It helps to guarantee that one of our best two linebackers will be able to get free every play.

I think that before NC State J.Will has a starting spot on our defense. Probably at the Sam if Herm can't get over the mental aspect

Think Roy Williams (Texas Safety, then Cowboys safety who injured Terrell Owens)...that's kind of the playmaker it is. Most call it a rover by the way.

Post Spring? Is it over? , your guess at the organizaltional/spring/post spring..... freaking depth chart looks about right with the exception of your bad attempts at nicknames!!!!! moving on to the pre-fall organizational, don't forget McCulllers!!!!

Either way. I just hope the coaches can put the best players on the field.
