Staph infection

Anyone had it before? Think i got it now. Goin to doc today. Hopefully theyll just say its a helluva pimple and to pop it.

I wash very well (mainly cause my wife makes me) so im confused to why i have it. I think i may have swollen sweat glands and it has turned into staph.

My question: What will the doc do to get rid of it?

Could have gotten it from anywhere. Normally it is a drug resistant bacteria. I have known people who had to get it cut off. Some only need to get the affected area lanced. Depends on how bad yours is.

Its under my armpit. Its about the size of two quarters and i have some smaller ones around it.

Probably not staph then. Might be swollen lymphnodes. Or some sort of skin condition. Antibiotics or steriods is what they'll give you.

I checked my lymphnodes last night they didnt seem swollen. Im using same deoderant brand ive always used also

Depends on severity. Could be mild and require little or no treatment. Extreme condition is potentially fatal. Good news, eh? I had one a couple of years ago. I was being treated frequently for a weird rash. After leaving the doc's office, later I felt weird. Can't explain the feeling any other way. Several hours later I noticed swelling in my face. An hour later, a friend took me back to the doc's. By this time my head (yes, my head on my neck) was swelling and my eyes were swelling shut. They sent me to the emergency room where they hooked me to every piece of equipment I could see and ran multiple IV's on me for several hours until they got it under control. I honestly looked like a cartoon character at the peak of the swelling. Not trying to scare you but going to the doc's today is the best choice you have and he can identify exactly what the problem is.

Gheez Rocky! Ok, per CDD....

Shower Discipline: Vols players apparently had a “clinic” on proper shower technique after an outbreak of staph infections. “We had, I told them, the worst shower discipline of any team I’ve ever been around. So we talked a little bit about application of soap to the rag and making sure you hit all your body. You know, you can neglect it trying to cut corners, and it shows in how you practice and elsewhere. I’m hoping we show some improvement in that.”
