We hunt but we don't shoot anything. I take them to a local wilderness park and they usually drag me up onto some wild pigs.
Normally they just harrass the squirrels on our property.:birgits_giggle:

No coon hunting? I know here in Mississippi they'd also be used for deer as well.

The blue ticks will track anything and corral it. The Blackmouth Cur is a pig dog and wants to grab the hind leg for a take down. I dare not let them off the leash at the wilderness park cause they would hit a scent and be gone. Maybe if I had an ATV where I could keep up with them.:birgits_giggle:

They make radio collars for hunting dogs.

Those are some pretty dogs. I used to have a couple of redbones I used to hunt with. Unfortunately with all the moving with the military I gave them up to some family. They are getting some good use but I miss hunting with them.
