Had it been the other way around it would be 24/7 on every TV station in the US. I am sure that there will be a big story on what the boy did to provoke the attack. The attackers will get a slap on the wrist.

If it fits the elements of a hate crime it should be treated as such. Hate crimes should apply equally for all races, and I have no reason to think it will be treated differently.

I hope the victim makes a speedy recovery and justice is served.

Didnt catch the timeline...We ARE talking about teenagers here though so I'm not entirely sure the isn't any connection at all. Both stories happened in Missouri...

When the first one happened these kids would have been 13. I'm thinking it's doubtful. Also, the kids went to school together. I'd bet they had previous altercations that escalated.

I am sure Jesse and Al will be on this quickly to defend the actions of the young men who were provoked to action by the racist acts of that white kid.
