'14 TN DB Todd Kelly Jr. (UT Signee 2/5/14)

He was taking a shot at Kiffboy, not Kelly. We all know TKJ is an elite talent.

I understand that. I'm pointing out that Kiffin offering TKJ has nothing to do with Kiffin's past or grudge against UT. It's about getting the best talent in the country no matter where it is.

Gotcha, either way Kiffy is a tard and TKJ ain't going to usc.

I hope he stays home, it would be awesome for me to have seen a father and a son play at UT in my life time.

Stay alive about 2 and a half more years and you will have seen a father, a son, and the son's two twin brothers play at UT in your life time. Even better.

Do you really think so? I have a bad feelin the Berry boys are gonna blow UT off. They seem to love trash Trooper so much it's sickening.

Now Kiffin is in on TKJ...? This guy is going to be pulled in every direction, hopefully the Vols can land him

I guess I should have read you post again because I thought it read "father, a son, and the son's two twins play at UT". I am going to blame it on my old age lol.

"Of course people are going to say my favorite is Tennessee, but ultimately it's going to be my decision," said Kelly, Jr. "I'm just going to take the process slow."
"It was exciting, but at the same time, I'm only a sophomore. It's crazy. I was really exciting and once I got that first offer they started rolling in," he said. "I'm still going to focus on school. I'd say I'd have a leader in a year or so, but I'm just focusing on school."

If we can't land former Vol big time player Todd Kelly's son from Knoxville Webb, that would be bad. Those kind of players turn the program around.
IMO it would be a bitter pill to swallow for the program, not to mention for coach Dooley. Now I hear Kiffin is after him. Talk about putting things in perspective. I have to agree with them.

Dude this thing here is over with.

Article up on Rivals. Anyone care to summarize?

This past visit was the first "business" trip, and he's just enjoying the process right now. He got to talk to Dooley and he said their conversation meant a lot. CDD wants him to come back as many times as possible. He's gonna go to camps this summer and all that stuff.

"He just said that it's really early in the process," Kelly said. "He wants me to get over there as much as I can for practice and be around the program. He wants me to understand how it all works. I really appreciated it that he took the time to sit down with me. We had a nice conversation."

"It's so early that I"m just trying to enjoy it," Kelly said. "I talked to the players to see how they like it and they seem to really like it. I went to the Thornton Academic Center and I've never been there. It allowed me to see the more personal side of the academic side. I also got to see a virtual tour of the new football facility they are building. It's going to be really nice."

Seems like every time recruits ask current players about the program there is a positive response. Just wanted to point that out since people think the players don't like CDD. I think they like and, more importantly, respect him.

“I got to spend some time with (secondary) coach (Willie) Martinez and Trooper Taylor,” Kelly said. “I got to tour the campus and everything like that so I enjoyed it overall.”

Kelly has a long relationship with Taylor from when he was an assistant at Tennessee from 2004-07. Kelly and Taylor’s son, Blaise Taylor, grew up playing youth sports together. The families remain close friends

“Coach Taylor to come out whenever he could to watch his son play and me and his son were both stars on the team,” Kelly said. “He’s tried to keep up with me ever since.

“My sophomore film really got him excited as well as the Auburn staff and that’s when they decided to offer me.”

Growing up in Knoxville and having a father that played for Tennessee in the early 90‘s, Kelly already knew plenty about the Vols program when he attended last Saturday’s Junior Day.

“They treated me pretty well,” he said. “I got to talk with Coach (Derek) Dooley. I sat down with him with my parents and we talked about the University and what they have to offer. It went well overall as well.”

Even with his ties to the Volunteer program, Kelly doesn’t have any current favorites and plans to take his time with a decision.

“I’m still undecided,” he said. “I’m going to let everything take its course and just go slow because I’m only a sophomore. Only time will tell but there shouldn’t be a decision anytime soon.”
