Visited Tennessee on Saturday. Top 25 national player. Also being recruited by Duke, Syracuse, and Georgetown.

ESPN:

Strengths:
Richmond has a very nice albeit slow releasing outside shot that finds the net more often than not. He is extremely quick and loves to make the quick move past his unsuspecting defender and finish at the front of the rim.

Weaknesses:
He will become more effective as he gets stronger and is able to get to the lane and make plays for others.

Bottom Line:
The physically gifted PG has a strong handle and speed with the ball which allows him to get in the paint at will. The young lead guard is the most recent point guard in a long line coming from the state of North Carolina.

High School teammate of 5* guard Theo Pinson, who we are also recruiting.

ESPN:

Strengths:
Theo's a kid who is comfortable being a star. He has a very confident way about him but it's not a cockiness. He's an excellent scorer in a variety of ways. He possesses an excellent mid range game and can get to the rim against anyone. He also has all the athleticisim to be an elite guy and is an unselfishly good passer. A true star in the making.

Weaknesses:
With a player like him, we'd like to see him add something new each year such as relocating for his jump shot and working on his overall perimeter game. He's not very strong right now (freshman) so as he grows he'll need to continue to develop his skill package to match his size. Handling the ball under pressure also needs to be a point of emphasis.

Bottom Line:
Theois one of the elite guys nationally. Expectations will be very high based on his athleticism. It's important for him to remain motivated and keep adding elements and improving. An elite wing on the national level.

Thank you for noticing that. I made the mistake and put up Pinson's making sure they went to the same high school.

The personal insult was out of line, it was an honest mistake.

Good job. I'm glad you let him have it. Your comments are so spot-on and warranted in this situation. #sarcasm

HUGE NEWS!!!

RALEIGH, N.C. -- JaQuel Richmond, a 2014 top 25 guard, has a host of high majors recruiting him, but his most recent recruiting visit has Cuonzo Martin and Tennessee sticking out.

-scout

its a video interview so i'll ad lib here, but he basically mentions the schools recruiting him and includes tennessee. then asked if any schools stick out he mentions tennessee again, and references his recent visit for the vanderbilt game. then asked about relationships with schools recruiting him, and he ONLY talks about tennessee and CCM. saying he really has a great relationship with CCM, and that he has talked to him more than anyother coach.

Apparently tennessee is the early favorite. If they could pull him in, a top 25 player in the country, they'd have a great chance at landing his teammate Theo Pinson. Pinson was widely regarded as the #1 player in that class of 2014.
