Vols Hire Darin Hinshaw per Drew Edwards

His bio says he's co-offensive coordinator for Mid Tenn St. They said he was promoted from runningback coach. Guessing that's what he'll be here. Says he recruits North Florida.

So... are we just not going to hire anyone that can recruit? I guess Dooley, Chaney and Thompson are going to do all of the work. They better prove they can win because these guys will show up in recruits living rooms and they will have no clue who they are. Their resumes will say Mid Tenn and LaTech.

This is a funny one.

This guy isn't a recruiting weapon... in my opinion this is so far the worst hire Dooley has made. I will give it a chance... maybe he is really something with X's and O's, but this one screams desperate to me.

I have liked all his other moves and who he is targeting, but this one is a stretch at best. At least he has ties to Florida although not for recruiting purposes.

This is a classic one too. We all mess up from time to time SBV.

There's a lot of foolishness in this thread and egg on many faces. Good lesson to be learned here. Nice bump, Nicksjuzunk.

Chunky Charlie was soooooo accomplished. How did that work out? Your program is spiraling out of control with arrests, defections, and decay and you're over here injecting your unwanted opinion about a position coach of the last place team in the East. Too funny. GTFO.

Bruno doesnt like it when hes wrong

When he gets a little older, he will realize that mistakes are normal and we all make them

In other words, His **** stinks just like the rest of us sunshine pumpers

I admit it when I'm wrong - thing is I'm always right when arguing with sunshine pumpers. All my posts in this thread were posted after this thread was necro'd, not before. This is the second time it's been bumped.

The fact that someone called Hinshaw a "decent" recruiter after what he pulled in this year is when most need to realize a poster is just trying to be a Clay Travis and command attention.

We all need to come together and hug it out

first of all, you don't even know the basis of my opinion.

there are two kinds of assistant coaches. ones who will be offensive and defensive coordinators and head coaches and the ones who won't.

the ones who won't outnumber the ones who will. most assistant coaches are rather meaningless, except for the coordinators, with some exceptions.

they are recruiters. steve spurrier's staffs at florida were straight crap except for the defensive coordinators. some of the years at florida, he didn't even have a good defensive coordinator.

assistants for nick saban have proven to be just like tissues, disposable and easy to replace.

especially, certain positions. wr and rb coach are usually the weakest spot on someone's coaching staff. for most places across the country, they shouldn't even refer to them as assistants, just recruiters.

you'd be surprised at the lack of input many assistants have when forming a game plan.

at this point, i really don't know how much love to give hinshaw

Disagree about the assistant coaches. They are huge to a program in more ways than just recruiting.

The first moment that Dooley exceeds expectations, Gets us to the SEC CG or wins it. Volnation is going to be like shooting Fish in a barrel. Can't wait. Threads will be a bumping and a grinding at the Nay Sayers and Trolls. There is going to be a lynching if this thread is an indicator of what is to come. No more drama. Just the facts. Can't wait to see it.

Would that be exceeding expectations?
