If I was the AD at Tennessee and I was informed that I could only keep one, of either Dooley or Martin, I'd take Martin as it is now.
Martin seems to be a young coach on the rise, and if he can recruit, I see him winning big.
Dooley seems like a young coach that might have just been pushed to the big stage, too soon. This isn't a knock on him, but the truth. When you only have 1 winning season out of five in your career, I don't think you should be the head coach at a school as prestigious as Tennessee.
I see your point, but you try recruiting LA TECH in the Runston, LA in the middle of SEC country and see how much success you have. Guys can show tons of promise and be given a shot, as it is with CDD. Everything has to be taken into perspective. That's where VolBeefoon fails in his logic. He looks at only records and determines a conclusion.
