then you have none
Your holier than thou attitude calling out "trashing another man's faith" attitdue is hypocritical. You trash opinions all the time in this forum, just like the rest of us.
Faith is generally afforded speical rules of conversation in everyday discourse because peolple get so easily offended. I think that is crap, it is an opinion just like everything else and deserves to be openly talked about and ridiculed the same way everything else is.
You disagree?
We trash opinions every day on this forum. You seem to want to afford special consideration for faith, when, fundamentally there is absolutely zero difference.
I don't get offended by ignorance and I have said that I am glad you have a place to vent about your beliefs. No one is "holier than thou", it was a simple question for him, you are just being an arse to try to start a fight, not going to work
My favorite American just mentioned something about this.

Seriously, I enjoy his stance on religion.
I don't get offended by ignorance either, so we're good.
I'm glad you have a place to vent about me venting about my beliefs.
And if you say it was a simple question, then fine. It certainly didn't come across that way. It came across as irritation at his attacks on "faith", specifically yours.
And I am not trying to be an arse or start a fight, we are all playing in the big boy sandbox here. Grow thicker skin or leave your faith at the door.
don't you mean "opinion"? He has not attacked my faith as I have not attacked his beliefs I was taking up for Gramps, now, I disagree that there is no diference between faith and opinion, but whatever, thick skin is a trait that runs in my family as we are all Christians and game officials

See, this is the problem with this debate and trying to keep it civil. Those lacking in faith afford no special treatment to the faith of others, because we believe that religion is just a belief that differs from our own.
Those who rely on faith to form their beliefs, think that they are owed some special boundaries, because religious faith holds a higher value than do athiestic beliefs.
No we dont, just silly

more ignorance....people of faith do not think they are owed squat
Does it make you feel good to trash a man's faith?
Maybe I worded it wrong. I didn't mean to imply that religious people always assume that their beliefs are more important than others. I meant that to someone with religious beliefs, it's a touchy subject. Obviously, if you don't have any religious beliefs, it's not a touchy subject. So it's difficult for the two sides to have a civil discussion, in most cases.
Okay... but you clearly do:
what have I said that I am entitled to or asked for or demanded from any one?
If you stated something in disagreement with me, I would never be able to say, "Does it make you feel good to trash my opinion?" People on a web forum wouldn't even know what to think about a statment like that.
I guess I worded that one badly then. It was a simple question, sorry.
