Non-football. Has anyone watched the UT Ice Vols

play this season? The reason I am asking is that the SEC Ice Hockey Tournament is this weekend in Huntsville and me and my sone are going to watch the Ice Vols play #1 seed Florida on Friday night. I thought UT had a good club hockey team but I noticed that their SEC record is like 1-8. They got into the tourney because Arky was disqualified for using an ineligible player. I know wh have had hockey for many years. How is it that Bama has had hockey for like 2 years yet they dominated us this season? Anywhoo, we will be yelling for the Vols again on Friday night. :rock:

I didn't even know we had a hockey team. How many years have we had our hockey team.

The Ice Vols go back to at least the late 90s, if not earlier.
I knew UT had a club hockey team, but I didn't know there was an SEC tournament for club hockey. That might be very new.

Is it still a club team? I'm not able to find any info about them on the UT sports website.

I actually have a friend from my hometown on this team. I think this is it at least. He hadnt played ice hockey ever before this year.

They were around in the early 90s when I went to school. Used to play after the ice bears, speed, cherokees on weekends at the coliseum.

I know they look bad by their record but I highly doubt a person new to hockey plays on the team (unless they were a good skater before)
