At the end of the day letting Taylor take some snaps probably means nothing, its when Ainge starts getting pt at reciever that I get truely concerned

I can remember awhile back slipping the infamous Eric Locke into the game for several plays.
It never ceeses to amaze me the vast amount of "talented" players that come here that end up doing absolutely nothing.

:eek:lol:

1. What was that, 4 years ago?
2. Eric Locke? Is that your evidence? :lolabove:

1. No - it was more like 6 or 7 years ago.
2. Yes - You asked for a guy who I remembered bringing in to the game at QB and I gave you an example. There have been others, but that was the first one I could think of.

Yes, he was a QB when he got to Knoxville . . . and actually Sports Illustrated gave him that name and the media ran with it (but that's a different thread).

that makes more sense I guess. Its odd, or maybe not at all come to think of it, that NONE of these guys we have talked about ever amount to anything when its all said and done, hope that doesn't happen with Taylor

Meanwhile, players like Hines Ward, Peter Warrick, Percy Harvin, Syvelle Newton, Craig Yeast, David Palmer, Tyrone Prothro, Torry Holt, and so on and so on...

Seems like every school in the South except Tennessee is able to get one "playmaker" and find a way to get the ball in their hands as often as possible.

That player was supposed to be James Banks.

There's a big difference between getting the ball into the hands of a playmakers and what schools like UGA and SC did with Hines Ward and Syvelle Newton. Those poor guys just got stuck at QB because all the other Qbs on the roster were either hurt or sucked.

the majority of those guys are also undersized, Warrick, Harvin, Yeast, Prothro, they are all small guys. I dont know that we have a single reciever smaller than 6 foot, at least any that are any good

Um, newsflash, Schaeffer played for Ole Miss last year, which is almost certainly what he was referring to. Do you even pay attention to the rest of the SEC?

He was refering to 2004 season (their freshman year). He was saying that Schaeffer didn't do well on 3rd down in the 2004 game. Seems like Ainge didn't fair much better, but he got more snaps...

He said just watch AN Ole Miss game. Not THE Ole Miss game. I think he was referring to Schaeffer's struggles last year.
