Time for a raise/extension for Pearl, assistants..

There are also about 50 D-I football coaches better than him. What's your point?

I completely and whole-heartedly disagree with you. Out of 116 D-I coaches, you put Fulmer in the bottom 3rd? You're wasting my time here.

I think Bruce should be making in the neigborhood of $1.4 to $1.6 million, with better postseason incentives. That puts him behind Tubby Smith and Billy Donovan, the only coaches (I believe) have a better track record in terms of postseason accomplishments.

Note: I still think that Pearl is a better coach than those two. His head-to-head record against them is 2-2 (Tubby) and 3-1 (Donovan).

Note 2: While Gottfried has more postseason appearances than Bruce, he's only gotten to the Sweet 16 (and beyond to the Elite 8) one time.

I disagree. I believe we should direct another $200,000 per to Haystacks. I was so impressed with our bowl performance. It's time for a raise. I fear someone may try and hire TCHFCATUTK away from us.

I think the incentive percentages are fine. Now, I do think that the base salary ($300,000) could be bumped up, that is why his postseason bonuses look so small. If his base salary were raised there would be an argument for that. But the other portions of the contract are suitable.

Fair enough. Increase the base salary, whatever. Just get total compensation into the $1.5 million range, please.

If the base assumption here is that someone is going throw alot of money at Pearl's feet to leave, doesn't the number we answer with have to be prohibitively high. Otherwise the problem remains and you've got another 500k to pay out...

I disagree. We should stick to the precedent set by the UTAD and wait until Bruce goes 18-15 and misses the NIT. Then, and only then, should we give him a raise.

I just hope Hamilton and Pearl have agreed to a lot of communication and negotiation should he get an offer from a different school. Still, I think at least some type of raise at the end of this season is warranted, as a good faith gesture towards what Bruce has accomplished this year.

But Hat seems to be making a good point, mainly that in the past the UTAD has tied raises more to tenure at the position than actual accomplishments. That's unfortunate.

An homage to the great wrestler, Haystacks Calhoun. He and TCHFCATUTK share the same dietician.
Y'know, we could just start replacing Fulmer's raises with new Krystal endorsements, or Krispy Kreme, whatever he prefers.

Krystal already does a lot of SEC-themed commercials, so that would probably be a better fit. And they could pay him in actual goods as opposed to more traditional forms of remuneration.

The only Krystal's commericals I see are idiotic "stories" revolving around a Krystal's trip.

"Well after the loss to Florida, I just needed a quick pick me-up. So me and the wife stopped by the Krystal's and got two bags. Then our car ran out of gas"

CPF could do it

And your point is ... I think Fulmer would fit right in with the current marketing efforts...

Besides, they're a notch above those absolutely horrid Sonic commercials.
