Another THP Officer shows his true colors

I'm not a cop. Never said I was. Never even slightly hinted that I was.

How is trying to sue a government agency for $10 million because you raised an idiot not pathetic?

I agree. It is the families right, but just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean you should.

That money comes from the Taxpayers

Your opinion is based on personal opinion and not fact. Your sample size is based on personal experience and applied to the group as a whole.

If you wanted to argue effectively, you would argue age and life experience. Instead you choose intellect because of some sort of intellectual superiority you have given to your self.

Why are so many personal experiences from all over the country so similar?

And I am still waiting for any sort of evidence that the deceased was drunk.

Besides unofficial sources that may or may not have been made up to save face for assuming something that could be totally false just to protect and serve a brother in arms.

Examples need to be made and not performing your duties as an officer that in another situation could have resulted in a life being saved needs and deserves to be punished more than solely termination.

You're gonna hear 10x more about the 1 negative experience someone had with a cop than the 25 good/non-eventful experiences put together.

That's why restaurants go to such extremes to satisfy an unhappy customers(free meals, deserts, ect...). People will tell 10x more people about a bad experience than they will a positive one.

And you think this example wil be made by paying his parents $10 million out of the tax payers pockets? Or did you think the officer was gonna come up with the $10 million?

You disavow any claims of intellectual superiority, yet the very INSTANT someone disagrees with your viewpoint they are labeled "morons".... "idiots".... Ok dude, gotcha. Let me guess that you are a Ron Paul supporter... Think about it, it'll eventually come to you.

Plus one

So the guy got what he deserved right?

I mean it wasnt like the trooper shot him. The kid ran, crashed, and died as a result of his personal choices. I dont know if its deserved but it was his choice.

Also its definitely within the family's right to sue but I really dont see how the will get anything of a wrongful death suit. IF the kid died on impact the trooper can not be held responsible. Not to worry though he has to livethe rest of his life knowing that he is disgraced and has the attached stigma of being a immoral person. Can be a very heavy burden to carry.

IF the trooper had stopped immediately and rendered what assistance he could have, would you still argue that it was the troopers fault for giving chase?

?

The trooper is in the wrong either way.

Who is arguing against this?

Pricks everywhere

I wish everyone would ride along and see how LE are treated by members of society

I have been on both sides. I have been stopped by ******* cops that had no idea I was LE.

One time, for doing 5 mph over the speed limit. I never write anyone until they are 15 mph over, unless its in a school zone or construction zone

Anyway, dude walks up all BBA and asks for my ID. Asks what right I have speeding through HIS town. I let him talk his ****( he weighed 150 soaking wet) and then I lit into his ass. Told him that I wanted to speak with his supervisor and that if I caught one of our officers talking to people like that, I would give them a little 3 day unpaid vacation to think it over. Thats when he realized he had opened a can of ****. I even wanted him to write me a ticket so I could own his smartass in court

Be nice until its no longer time to be nice. I never talk down to people and I dont let them talk down to me. If you are nice to me, I will be super nice to you and do anything to help you out. But dont get an attitude. I dont deal with atitude.

Allow me to disagree with you for a moment. The person you were referencing, bamacheats, will never get it. Never. He is the type of person that makes up lies about other people just to make himself better.

You were right about everything else you typed.

Good post

So the guy got what he deserved right?

Nope

However, his own actions led to his unfortunant ending

Life is about choices. He made one that put his life and everyone on the road, in harms way

What if he would have hit one of your family and killed them?

Everyone here was using the pretext that the guy was drunk to defend the officer. I want to see someone give me any sort of proof that alcohol was involved.

In any career field in the world I can find people who aren't good at their jobs. Who act unprofessional and sometimes make bad decisions. Absolutely any job. The difference is that with those folks in the law enforcement profession deal the everyone in the public. Not just a few select customers.
