I disagree. I think we're reasonably patient and our track record of sticking with some horrendous coaches bears that out.

We do not have an entitlement attitude toward winning championships as those crowds do.

7 NCs and 42 SEC rings lends the birthright to be a bit delusional. Although it's not delusion, nor is it entitlement- it's high expectations. Surely the UT football fan can relate.

Thinking you can win in the modern era at the same pace Rupp did when half of the SEC had teams coached by football assistants moonlighting to supplement their income is the very definition of delusion.

How about the 1990s and early 2000s when UK for the most part was absolutely dominant? There's delusion, then there's expectation. I don't EXPECT a FF appearance every year. That's delusion. I HOPE to go to a FF once every 5 years. That's expectation. Big difference.

There's the perception here that every UK fan is in the same boat- unrealistic expectations bordering on insanity. That isn't the case here. I understand parity and that the game has changed. I get it. But UK is still one of the top 5 programs all-time, and they should win like it.

Kentucky had a great run in the mid 90s. However, they were hardly nationally dominant. Plenty of teams had success comparable with the Cats over that period.

I lived in Lexington for 3 years and regularly visited for another 5 after that -- I would say your comments are an accurate assessment from what I saw.

UT,Vandy and Florida may very well have the best overall pure shooters in the game as far as hitting threes and such.

Hardly Nationally Dominant? OK, I'll bite. Who else had the sustained national dominance? I'll give you Duke, North Carolina, and maybe Kansas. Anybody else? When you think of the 1990s, you think Duke and Kentucky, really.

In that time, UK won 7 SEC Tourney Championships, held the regular season SEC 4 times, was in the Final Four 4 times, including 3 appearances in the championship game. They averaged 29 wins per season in the 1990s, which included one probation year. They went an eye-popping 32-7 in the NCAA tourney in that decade, including running the table in the SEC twice, which no other team has done in the modern era.

Hardly nationally dominant? I would disagree.

I guess you've never heard of UCONN. Arkansas went to three Final Fours and won a National Championship in the '90s. Arizona played in multiple Final Fours and won a title in that decade as well.

What does winning the SEC have to do with how a team stacks up nationally? Absolutely nothing.

Don't forget Mich State in the late 90's: a S16, 2 FF's, and a NC.
