'12 VA DT Korren Kirven (Bama signee)

If not for Bama getting some openings, I really believe Tennessee would have landed Kirven. We still may, but doubtful. If PT is a big part of his agenda then he knows where to go. However, if we miss out on Kirven then I wont be disappointed by no means. We have a monster in Daniel McCullers, and will make an immediate impact here as opposed to Kirven who will need time to recover from his broken ankle. Kirven will be a great talent no doubt, but im happy with McCullers.

How can you say that? We needed dline talent and hopefully landed 2 starters this year. Depth at wr is a priority and 3 guys who should contribute are coming in and podsibly 2 more. Look at needs projected this year and this class fits fine

i just wish he wasnt injured, i know he would be huge for 2013 and beyond but i wish shanks would have been the one to consider tn on nsd. i think kirven will be just as good in the long run, were just gonna have to wait a little longer to find out.

Not guaranteeing anything on Kirven, but UT is apparently not down and out. Have a close friend who was on the track team and got close with Hunter, so you could say I sorta have a little inside stuff, but not much. Thought I'd share.

Freshmen DTs rarely make an impact... even if Shanks had committed, expecting much from him this upcoming year would've been a mistake.

Besides, KK has more potential and a much better attitude IMO.

i agree as far as liking him better for the personal aspect, but i still think he could have atleast gotten in some here and there, gotten some experience and then been dominant in 2013 instead of just starting out then. this is where damien jacobs and autry killed us. good god i wouldnt have cared at all about the last few days if we still had those guys. ( i know we technically never had autry but u know what im saying) but oh well, ifs and buts...
