do we still have texas and ok st on it?
I think they both drop off. We played @ Texas last year and played them hear this year. We played Oklahoma St. in Oklahoma City last year and in Nashville this year. I can't wait for Ohio St. to come to TBA next year.

UT schedules never cease to amaze me in any sport. We are one of the few SEC teams that will play tough comp in fball and now bball. Not only does it get you national recognition but it gets the fans pumped.

I agree.

Slick Rick says, this sounds great. Coach Bruce Pearl is doing a great job of drawing exposure to the program. These type of games get the team ready for March.

Is the rest of the SEC non-conf scheduling weak in hoops, too?

I've said it before, that's one reason I admire the heck out of the Tennessee athletics department. As far as football goes, it's the only big-time program in the SEC that's actually willing to go out and schedule big-time games.

Never really looked at the rest of the SEC bball scheds but I dont remember too many high-profile games (besides UF). My main point is that we will now take on all-comers in any sport. Very few schools can make that claim.

Kentucky always plays a great nonconference hoops schedule.

Yes they do. They have U of L and Indiana every year, plus a preseason tourney, plus a Memphis or UNC or two thrown in for good measure. Actually, their scheduling has helped Tubby acquire his ten-loss moniker over the past few years, showing that tough scheduling can cut both ways.

I thought the contract with Ok State called for games in Stillwater and Knoxville the next two years.

That is only part of the schedule and it is as tough as the 1st 2 years.

So far, we're replacing Texas and Oklahoma State with Wake Forest and Xavier (unless Hat is right about the OK St. contract). We also lack the NIT that this year yielded games against North Carolina and Butler. So far, IMO, that's an easier schedule. Tough, but easier.

When Tony Jones said on the "Locker Room" that we were in discussions with an ACC school, I was expecting a little better than Wake Forest.

We wouldn't be able to recruit so well otherwise
