I wasn't referring to the ability for them to get into those terrific academic institutions (LOL). I was referring to their ability to get them past the NCAA clearing house which can be a helluva lot tougher.

Easy there O&W Auburn is actually a really hard school to get into right now. Bama is still garbage.

When I typed that out I started to put a joke in there for you. To be honest, I don't know that much about the acadmemics at the Barn. I have heard that Bama isn't that tough from a friend from Tuscaloosa. :) :hi:

They aren't. I heard more kids from Auburn High School have gone to Bama than Auburn in the last few years because it's so much easier to get in.

But I appreciate the jab :)

It's called winning a Nat'l Championship. It was like that for a couple years here too after '98. Another reason it was a solid $180,000 investment.

I really don't think admissions standards are affected by national titles but if you say so...

They've been increasing for a few years now, by the way. And Alabama has won two recently.

But you're probably right.

More candidates = being able to choose from a wider pool.

Kidding anyway. Lived in Auburn. Good academics and I almost went there. Folks moved and I followed the refrigerator here.

Bama sent me an application though the mail that would waiver my application fee. Needless to say, it went in the garbage... but Bama will accept anything from a 18 GPA and up. Tennessee does not base it off GPA and ACT. They base it off core GPA, and rigor of senior year schedule. They have got smarter and realized that kids take all cake classes senior year. They didn't even ask for my "full" schedule. They wanted my 4 years of core classes, and all my ACT scores (which they super score... haha).

Bama offered me full tuition, 3000 a year cash (for books, etc), and a laptop.

No joke.

I think their full tuition scholarship starts with... something like a 25 ACT. With my weighted down GPA of 4.2 and ACT 25, I had near the same situation. No laptop... I'll have to call and see if I can tutor some for that laptop.

Id wager that your chances at a higher draft pick are better in the SEC than Marshall. No questions from NFL teams as to whether you can compete against the best. I have no stats to back that up, but it would make sense.

Doesn't matter. If you gave what it takes it does not matter where you went to college at. I do agree that being good @ Martin, and being good at Tennesse is the difference in a few rounds of the draft though.

Really want Leggett to play college football at the University of Tennessee.

Because he is really good at playing football.
