Santos has not decommitted to Tennessee, His dad has but Dalton has not.
This may change this weekend....Who knows....Who really cares....Lambert would be a great back filler for him if we can get him....
People want control of these kids and their decisions....Santos committment video stated clearly why he chose Tennessee over the other schools....The SEC...
Texas has probably been upfront with him already ...He probably doesn't like it.....but his dad is all over it.....
I don't see him as a DE but TX evidently does....You want that kid in the middle of the defense because of his vision and his field presence....which is a gift.
The Hook em horn sign photo and playing for Texas is an honor to Texas Kids.....It is instant celebrity and we know what that is like at that age....Texas never even considered him until dates backed out on them...
Some of the TX boards and fans are questioning the offer themselves....and one board discussed him being a project...that he was a project and would be one.....
With all this....who knows....I like Lambert....don't know if Texas has room for him but it will make no difference on Wednesday....
If this kid wants to go to TEXAS let him go....Prove to him down the road in years to come what a mistake it was....for him to do so....and do it with class....Don't trash him out or his family, just stick it to them on the field with other players at Tennessee....
In the back of his mind he will know without us ever stating another word about him or to him....
There is more than one Santos in this class. Right now we are sitting on a gold mine both new and old....
Btw, how long you been following recruiting for the big damn orange? This is my 12 year, and it's always the same thing every year. Certain recruits flip, and there is always one you get, that you don't expect to get. Such a great tine of the year. It's like a second season for the teams in the SEC. Football is another religion.
Santos would be Texas' FOURTH LB commitment this class. Kind of odd for a Diaz-directed defense that runs a 4-3 and a good bit of 4-2-5 (especially with so many spread teams in the Big 12).
I realize the appeal of your childhood favorite, but this just reeks of a terrible decision.
I have been following it for 3 years now..I'm no expert by any means, but I know a lot more than anyone else in my family..Luckily, I am very fortunate to be able to stay at home and take care of the house while hubby goes out to work..Anyway, this allows me to follow recruiting and all sports..I have love sports my whole life and i can't wait until Wed...YEE HAW!!
BTW..I sent you a friend request yesterday, don't know if it went thru or not.
