'12 VA DT Korren Kirven (Bama signee)

This guy should be priority número uno..... The NY Football Giants would tell you that a solid D-line makes a championship team.

IMO Kirven is the most important guy left on the board. Hoping for good news on wednesday.

Sentimore, McCullers, O'Brien, Lewis, Taylor.... add Kirven... and this d-line class is epic...imho

im feeling it too, goat. dont know why, just am. i try to never make any bold predictions, or any book it type calls but i feel as good about him signing as anyone. now if we can just get patterson i will be the happiest man around on wednesday.

I feel like you do concerning Kirven. I'm not sold one bit about Patterson though. Either way, this is a great class this year. With or without those two, ot Santos for that matter.

agree totally, but don't forget that this will allow Mo, Walls, Carson, and a few others to shine because they won't have to do all the "heavy lifting" for 60 min!:salute:

i live in the Virginia Beach area, yesterdays sports page had a paragraph updating him in regards to VT. this reporter thinks he's 50/50 between VT and us. i couldn't figure out why he thinks that though. locals around here think he's all VT. i think it's all just wishful thinking.

Oh ok. Thanks for the info from up there.

i had the words ''quality depth'' in mind all along...

here's to closing strong...

Would like to see this beast in orange...

Not trying to be insensitive, but the VT campus is a war zone. Don't know how they hide that from recruits.

I live in Blacksburg and I can guarantee that there are more murders in Knoxville than in Blacksburg.

The top of the list of important things is politcal correctness, I take it.

If you're really thinking about living somewhere for the next 3 or 4 years, you ought to consider what's happening on the actual campus. One time is random... multiple times... something's doesn't seem right at VT.

I wouldn't go there, but that's me. And, FWIW, I would go to a war zone, but only with my unit. Hope that helps.

Does its 42k population include the student body?

No I don't believe so.
You're citing two isolated incidents. They don't cover murders on every campus. The only reason they covered the incident this past year was due to the notoriety of the murders five years ago. I assure you the safety in Blacksburg is not a problem.

Well, I'm sure the street lights in Knoxville are frightening when you roll out of the mountains and back into civilization, but it's far from having a reputation as being unsafe.

If you stay long enough, your eyes and attitudes adjust to being in a populated community.

Keep telling yourself that.

The worst thing about Blacksburg is the weather. The incidents you're referring to are just unlucky.

There's actually a lot of crime in the fort due to the high homeless population.
