IMO, we don't have room for Patterson. I understand he is very talented but we already have 4 WR's coming in. Kirven and Briscoe would both be smarter pick up's for us.

Hahahaha... CP would be the best recruit in this years or last years class... Some recruits u just make room for no matter what, pal.. And CP is definitely one of those guys..

Da'Rick is a physical mismatch for most corners....but he lacks the speed to run away from corners...his physicality makes up for that in the SEC, but it won't in the NFL...he must get faster, be more consistent, and lose his attitude to become truly elite...

Hunter on the other hand--if he can come back full throttle--gain weight and keep his speed--is WAY BETTER than Da'Rick...
He's as fast as Terrell Owens was and Kenny Britt stretches the field for the Titans without being a burner. Rodgers has everything a team needs to be a great No.1 WR in the NFL. Him and JH will be like Henderson and Haynesworth. Both Top 10 overall picks in the draft (if they can stay healthy).

Patterson has talked with Hutchinson head coach Rion Rhoades about all the upheaval in the coaching staffs.

“He is pretty perceptive and aware of what is going on, but I do not know how much of a factor it will be in his final decision,” Rhoades said. “I think Tony Ball and Hinshaw being his position coach at Georgia and Tennessee [respectively], it definitely helps that they have been the ones recruiting him this entire time.”

SIAP, but it looks like his juco coach is hinting that it is between UT and UGA. Something most of us have figured by now, but TIFWIW

In the SCAR game he got behind Victor Hampton. Hampton as good and fast CB. Rogers has very good speed especially for a guy that's 6'3 215-220 lbs. Hunter and Rogers are a great combo that compliment each other well.

No.

Yeah, I agree with you. Henderson and Haynseworth were an extremely special combo. Besides this is comparing apples to oranges, there are far more good to great wide outs in the nation than there are elite 1st round talent D-lineman.

Rogers and Hunter will both be in the NFL. I don't think either of them will be top 10 picks, but definitely not both.

If Hunter comes back 100% and goes off, he will be a first rounder for sure. Rogers is actually more proven and doesn't have the injury on his resume, but Hunter will steal some of his thunder in 2012.

With no injuries and both playing as expected in 2012, I see Hunter as a mid to late 1st rounder. Rogers as a late first rounder or early 2nd rounder.

There are other WRs out there. Some UT fans automatically assume we have the best two in the nation because they are biased.

chances of Hunter coming back 100% and going off are slim IMHO

I don't know, it's definitely possible. He only tore the ACL, and though it's a terrible recovery which I've been through twice, with the therapy he'll get, it can be done. Look at McGahee...dude tore everything, ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL, and his meniscus, and he seems to be alright. Didn't even take him a full year to get back to 100% did it? I don't remember for sure.

It didn't take a year for him to get back. Not sure if he was 100% though.

Yea he came back as a rookie in buffalo and ran for like 1100 yards i think.. But it shall be interesting to see if he is able to come back full strength 1 year post injury..

And I recognize that circumstantial evidence is just that, circumstantial. Every case is different, and the leg muscles on McGahee definitely helped his rehab, I can guarantee. We'll all have to wait and see, I was just playing devil's advocate.

I think I just have to believe he's going to be healthy because of all he brings to the table. He's a great athlete, of course, but at the same time I think he calms the attitudes of both Tyler and DR because of his consistency and abilities. We need him, bottom line, and we could sure use CP as well. That would be an NFL stable of WR's.

But if we were able to somehow land Patterson our offense would have to become pass heavy with the opportunity to consistently rotate fresh bodies every down..
