Got us Da'Rick, then he transfers. Sounds like an OK deal to me.
It's okay for us, sure. But the kid could be at Vandy right now where he would have a chance to play after Rodgers leaves not to mention getting a Vanderbilt education. It was nowhere near a good situation for Nash.
Recruiting is dirty and i'm glad UT pulled the trigger on the move, but I feel sorry for Nash. Seemed like a good kid who deserved better. JMO.
Very true. But now he's also going to play for an Ivy League school while also receiving Ivy League education. This is all in hindsight, however, as no one could've seen this two years ago. It's okay for us, sure. I think everyone is looking at the Nance situation the wrong way. Nance's family used Da'Rick to get their son, a highschool QB who has no business at a D1 BCS school, a scholarship offer. It was pretty clear to both sides what was going on. Nance and Da'Rick wanted to play at the same school, but UT was the only school to offer both of them.
I think it paid off for all parties. We got an all-SEC receiver, Da'Rick became an all-SEC receiver and got to go to school with his best friend, Nance got a full ride and was able to be on the roster/practice with the team which he's parlayed into his transfer. Congrats to him, I wish him the best.
