'12 TX LB Dalton Santos (Texas Commit)

I think the coaches had to go out to Texas to get a straight answer from the family. If it's bad news and he's not coming , at least they got the truth and not "everything you wanted to hear" from Dalton. I think if he actually wanted to be a Vol , he would be. I hope if it's Texas , they told the coaches , so they can move on. Hell , so we all can.

Regardless of what happens this is why it's ridiculous to celebrate a commitment that is made 6 months before signing day. I thought his dream was to play in the SEC. Now his dream appears to be to play in a conference that he repeatedly said he didn't want to play in and for a school that didn't give him one ounce of attention until a couple weeks ago. Santos isn't going to make or break our class but as a program we have spent a tremendous amount of resources on this kid and to lose him now would really suck especially since our defense is going to be custom made for a linebacker like him. If he wants to see the field at Texas he better get used to having a hand on the ground as DE.

I literally went two blocks down the street for a drink, came back, and there are 20+ pages and people seem upset. Wtf happened during the visit?

I have a feeling it was he always wanted to play in the SEC, UNLESS Texas offered. I dont think he even thought that as an option until a couple weeks ago.

I'm just saying y'all both overract.:) but atleast you don't contact recruits.

im sorry that the modern day world doesn't allow much emotion to be formerly displayed throughout the lexicon of american language. the truth in online communication is that any type of sentence can be construed with intonation or with flat out lack of emotion.
