A&M has one title from the 1930s and hasn't had a top 5 finish in close to 60 years. TCU had an undefeated season, top 5 finish and beat the Big 10 champ a year or 2 ago. WVU has been doing very well in BCS bowls so they have proven themselves outside of the Big East while Mizzou in BCS bowls is.....well.....it hasn't happened yet.

The SEC got worse with A&M & Mizzou. The Big 12 got better with TCU and WVU.

Wasn't TCU in the big sky conference or something?

It's hard to pass up an opportunity to play for the school you grew up loving. I don't think it was an option until a few days ago, so we can't blame him for taking a visit. I hate that they put all that time and energy into him, but the truth is we do it to other schools as well. Also, I wouldn't doubt he's getting cold feet about moving away from home. It's all great until you get down to the "nut cuttin" as my dad used to say. This might give him an chance to stay closer to home without having to up root his family. Kinda like the Gunner Kiel situation.

Except for that Clemson game

Clemsons best win was against VT, who beat noone. I dont know why schools wouldnt schedule some really good teams in the future, i cant wait to get up to Oregon in 13. We have Oklahome in 14 and 15 i believe, not sure which year is home, but i plan on making it to Norman too. Then Nebraska in 16-17, should be fun.

I just hate that we are probably gonna lose him, because he seems like a great kid and a natural leader. He's the type of player that would help Tennessee get back to the top.

Sounds like to me that his Dad is gonna make the decision for him, which is not fair for Dalton b/c his Dad needs to respect his wishes..In the end, it could lead to resentment towards his Dad especially if he gets to Texas, and it hits him that he was indeed the second option and isn't valued like he would be at UT..I would hate for him to get there and the coaches assign him strictly to special teams or something..:ermm:

I have found a happy medium between giving up totally and being confident that he will be a Vol...My hope is riding on the fact that Dalton will be angry b/c his home state waited this long to recruit him and decide that it's too little too late..We shall see, hopefully b4 NSD..If Dalton waits until NSD to drop the bomb, then I will view it as unfair to the coaches that have stuck by him and put a lot of time and energy in his recruitment...Point is he should have at least enough respect for them to let them know in advance..JMO:hi:

Worse how? Because last time I checked the SEC has won the last 6 national championships and (I think this is correct) 7 of the 13 BCS championships.

I don't care if we added North Texas and Northern Illinois, by getting "worse" we still beat the Big 12's best.

Edit: oh and you are a complete moron.

His dad was the one pushing for a visit up to OSU, Dalton is the one that didnt want to go.

That's what I was sayin'.

I think Santos wants to make a trip to one of the big in-state schools. But really the deal is pretty much sealed. I would think this would be one of the worst recruiting jobs they've done if they lose him at this point.

I agree completely. This is sounding more and more like a Bryce Brown situation. It was stated that if he came to Tennessee that his family was gonna move with him, but if their not willing to do that now, it sounds like their not gonna let him go either.

Are you blaming our coaches for this?

Won't it be funny if Santos ends up sticking with us?

I don't expect him to but what if all of this really is just his dad and in teh end Santos has the balls to make his own decision...

That would make the last 200 or so posts instant classics
