'12 TX LB Dalton Santos (Texas Commit)

Facts are that Volquest is saying that Dalton's dad told Dooley they are visiting Texas. Tennessee's most notable recruiting experts are saying this is a bad development for Tennessee.

Santos said he wanted to play in the SEC. This will tell how serious he is. Not sure why he would want to go play for a declining Mack Brown team. If he wants to go to a Texas school, he should have jumped on A&M.

Hope he's a vol.

Question - why are people saying its no big deal if he doesn't come. We lack serious depth at LB especially if we run 3-4.

We have AJ Maggit and lathers that are proven. That's it.

High hopes for peters but he's a freshman. King most agree needs a RS season. King is injury prone. Sapp is not a natural at the position. High hopes for Christian Harris but not proven yet.

We parted ways with k Henderson we don't need to lose santos.

Hope he sticks

You say this as if Dalton Santos is proven. Which is funny.

Heard King is healthy now. Lathers, Maggit, King, Johnson, Harris, Peters....will be fine.

Okay. Get me caught up here folks. Why is his father anti-Tennessee all of a sudden? I thought the family was moving to Knoxville with him?

unless something crazy happens next weekend, dalton will be a Horn, according to his dad.

R brown will not be a vol.

It's ashame that his dad will not let Dalton decide for himself b/c I have heard these things happening and the child turns on the parents for trying to run their life..Good Lord, he's 18, but whatever..he doesn't make or break the class.:wink2:

Sh*t just got real. Skeeter, did Dalton's dad already give word to the staff or something? You seem to have implied that.

This was the perfect storm for us to lose him. Tons of turn over with us, solid performance in ua game, and a Texas offer on top. Congrats to Dalton but Dooley and company should be commended for holding on for this long.

That's five and one freshman. And lathers will be gone after next yr if he doesn't get the medical shirt. I'm thinking future at least

Daddy was a Wilcox/Sirmon man.

Daddy needs to realize that wherever he goes, his position coach will not be there for the duration of his college career. That's just the way it is this day and time. Commit to the school, not the coach. You will be glad you did.
