Horford is really a forward, but he does play the 5 in certain situations.. And You'll see the kind of impact Oden will have in the coming weeks for OSU. I have to go with Oden in the center discussion.

but his offensive game is anemic at this point. His presence allows them to play a different style of D than would otherwise be prudent, but Horford's a much better offensive player today.

Sadly, as I look at this list, I am struck by the fact that the answer to every question except depth could come from Gainesville.

2. Gregg Oden or TYler Hansborough
3. A&M...
4. Kansas or Florida

How do you not include Hibbert from Georgetown in the best center discussion?
he's good, but he has just come of age lately, and he gets a lot of press becausee of his performance against Grey in the Big East tourney championship game...and grey was just pitiful in that game. i wouldnt' take him over Oden or Hansborough.

Oden's offense has improved alot in the last two weeks.. But your right, Hibbert can be dominate at times like he was in the Big East Championship. He certainly can be added to the debate.

If you are talking about who is going to be the best center in the tourney, which is what Fine Vol's post asked, then you have to consider him as well as Oden, Hansborough, etc.

I think when Oden hurt his right hand earlier this season it helped him because now he is dominate with each of his hands

From what I have read/heard, we are playing a team that has one of the best offenses in the country/tournament.

My friend just told me Joakim Noah should be at the top of the center discussion:birgits_giggle: ..(one of the more delusional gator fans I know)
