nothing wrong with that - if a corporation had given me 2-3 mil guaranteed to leave college after my junior year - see ya

hell id leave middle school early for that kind of cash

Never said there was anything wrong with that. I'd take the cash, too. I'm an advocate of players good enough to leave early. It's not worth risking getting injured. Get injured in the league. They will take better care of the surgery, rehab, etc. More resources.

No, and they are not boys.

Think back to when Donte and Kelley were teammates. Very similar.

Except I don't see Rogers tricking Justin to enter the draft early while he stays for his Sr. year.

They talk a lot on twitter to not be friends to an extent. But I think we'll be in a position to replace Rogers if he leaves early. If all three leave(Bray, Rogers, and Hunter) we'll be in a great position to replace them. Peterman for Bray while our WRs won't be as special they'll more than get the job done with Croom, Bowles, Howard, and Dallas for now. I also feel if they are in a position to leave then we've had a monster year on the field. So we'll be in on some big time recruits at WR.

Hunter is nothing like Donte, so comparing Hunter/DR relationship to Donte/Kelley is off base.

All i know is that people seem to like our chances for some reason or another. And it is coming at the right time. IMO, the crew at VQ learned something because Brent doesnt change his mind like that overnight for no reason at all

What did Hubbs say?

lol The resources here and at every major athletic program are as good as any pro team, money can only go so far. If a Justin Hunter or Jarnell Stokes type of player needs the best medical care in the country then they'll get it. More money doesn't mean everything is better. If I go to the best cancer institute in the country with the best doctors I'll be getting the same quality of care as a billionaire going to the same doctors.

LOL Chris Klenck and KOC is a pretty good operation, I go there and he's my Dr. There are better out there, yes. Are you saying a doctor is better for a billionaire than his other patients because the person laying on the bed is worth lots of money? Interesting thought, I never knew the level of a professionals abilities correlated to the net worth of the individual they're serving. I must have a crappy post-man and ups driver as well then.

Do pro teams use all their extra cash to buy alien machines that college's can't afford? Maybe they put diamonds on them with all their extra resources, does that make their medical equipment better than UT's, even though it's the exact same equipment?

actually if you look at the saudi's as an example, they come to the U.S. to get their cancer treatment, and when they come they go all out. They will buy out whole floors of hospitals, and replace furniture. They simply say nothing is a barrier to their treatment. Their success rate is nothing short of unbelievable. You can attribute that to their supply and resources that they make themselves avaliable to because of their wealth. They get treatments that are still groundbreaking and an otherwise normal individual wouldn't get. I know this is an extreme example, however the Professional Arena of Sports, whether it be NFL, NBA, NHL, they get the best treatment possible. Take Sidney Crosby as an example. He is seeing the best concussion expert in the world. I think someone at UT would see a neurologist who is no doubt excellent but not on that kind of level.

Can't disagree with that example tom. In general, I think athletes here get just as good treatment as they would in the pros. In certain circumstances, like your example, the 'resources argument can be valid. I guess the reason for my argument is I get tired of constantly hearing about how money always buys more or X has a better recruiting class thus they're getting better. People just don't seem to understand that we live in a world with limits and everyone regardless of $$ or stature are confined within those limits as well.

i totally agree about that world with limits, however to the ultra rich, its tough to see them. Steve Jobs was on every states liver transplant list, even though your only eligible to be on only one. He got a liver from memphis and it was transplanted in nashville. some say he has gotten the best care possible. he would have survived had he gotten the Whipple procedure done when he was advised to. he delayed 9 months and it was ultimately the demise to his health and life. The normal individual like you and I will never be able to get exactly what we want because we live in the system. People like Jobs, the oil rich Saudi's, they made the system so they get what they want.

All I said was wrong. I'm not going to read this long-winded garbage.

Hunter is best compared to Harper or Pickens. We have not had a receiver like him in a long time.

I agree with that--probably most like Alvin Harper. UT has had some good ones. Hunter runs routes like a pro and looks like a guy who will be playing on Sunday's.

Lol You must think very highly of yourself.

Edit: oh well, was gonna delete it because I realized I've been in an awful mood all day but Scotty quoted very quickly

I hate to interrupt this love fest but what's up with Patterson? Can the Vols still get him to sign with them?
