I know it wont happen BUT what would be your feelings if Ainge was out all year and Cromp had to be the man. We would all be worried but I like the Crompster myself.

I think JC has alot of upside for you guys. Like us last year with Stafford, starting young QB's results in a few dumb mistakes.

I definatley think Ainge gives you guys the best chance to win.

The young qb in his first full year starting outperforming a 4 year starter is rare bird indeed. Hope ainge gets better, otherwise expect a learning curve.

Worst case, Ainge has his knee repaired instead of having the meniscus removed and is out 8-12 weeks instead of 4 to 6 weeks.

Most popular man on most college football teams is the back up QB. For me Crompton is just that. Backup to Ainge.

I guess you didn't see the Arky game!? I think he will be a good qb in time but right now we have a better horse in the stable.

Very bad game for a comparison. UT team as a whole played horrible. Crompton did fine against LSU.

That kid was so rattled in that game. Jamaal Anderson shoved him down for a sack. Didn't even hit him just shoved him. Arky ran stunts on the kid and he was a deer in the headlights.

He isn't ready yet. He will be but for now I want EA.

How could a kid go out in public like that? That shows his decision making is not very good. :)

did you see his little tantrum during the California high school championship game? this kid will be a bust. trust me. HUGE ego. Thinks he is god.

I read somewhere that the downside was he is very slow. Anyone know if that is true?
Would'nt surprise me. I was at an Astros game last year and the guy in front of me in the beer line found out I was from Tn. All he could talk about was what a steal we got with him. He said he and some buddies used to drive three hours each way to watch him play a couple of times a year for two seasons....of course, take that for what it's worth. I have'nt seen any footage.

You are correct 67. The defense was atrocious and the offensive game plan was even worse. That is the game that took the wind out of my sails regarding playcalling.

Thats exactly how I feel about it. All the Crompton lovers were gungho about playing him over Ainge, when he finally did he wasnt ready...and yet they forget this and want him back out there.

Its not that I dont like Crompton, its just that he isnt ready. We'd have to fight our tail off to lose just four games with Crompton starting all year.
