I don't think Bray is as great as some on here try to say he is. The kid has an unbelievable arm. No doubt about that. He makes some throws that are pure "Sunday" throws. However, sometimes watching games I think it's fairly obvious that he does not read defenses well.
That said, a good running game can do wonders for any quarterback, so this is all arguable and up for debate until he gets some help. And certainly losing a WR like Hunter hurts your overall season, but it's not like you are going to have a top 5 WR anywhere you go in the NFL.
Right now he'd be getting drafted on potential, and he has got a lot to prove, IMO. And getting drafted on potential means you are a round 4 and above draftee.

First off, I was basing what I said on the thought out there he might leave after next season. Sure, if he progresses then he won't be there past round 3. However, it wasn't like he made this huge leap in his progress between freshman and senior year. The chances of him being available after the 3rd round are exactly zero if he keeps progressing the next two seasons IMO
He is seldom the victim of a blitz because he tends to just wing it out there with the hope of a receiver making a play for him. That is a long way from reading a blitz and finding a receiver in the weak spot.IMHO, he lacks nothing but experience as a passer. I think he reads pass coverages just fine and is seldom a victim of a blitz. He does not manage the run game well and he has to do that.
Says who? Because he tweets that he is throwing with JHunter? Sorry, but people said Da'Rick had a big attitude adjustment in the last offseason, and it certainly didn't look like it this season. I think I will wait until next season to see if he has actually worked hard.this. he is working hard this offseason.

I might just be a little overcritical, but I think it's certainly up for debate just how good this kid actually is.
Is this an educated guess or something you have heard?
Heard. I would be stunned based on what he's been saying lately if he signed with UT. It would be the recruiting job of a lifetime for Coach Dooley.
That being said, I'm pretty sure he has lingering eligibility issues anyway. At least for the SEC.
People like you are everything that is wrong with internet message boards. I am having an honest conversation about the NFL prospects of a QB. That's it. I don't have a problem with Bray. I am glad UT has him. The conversation stemmed from whether he would be a legit NFL QB after 3 years, in our opinion. Show me where I said Bray does not have NFL talent. Please, show me. If you are going to accuse anyone of saying something, please make sure they said it. And when everything is written out for you to carefully analyze, that should be easy. Did he sleep with my mom or something? What year did you become a Rhodes Scholar? The collective IQ of about 10 posters on this board is below 20. Congrats on being in that club. What's not up for debate is that you, an anonymous guy on a message board, seem to be the only person (including a lot of people who get paid for their opinions) that thinks that Bray does not have NFL quality talent.
Is he perfect? Clearly not. Has he picked apart big time defenses yet? Not yet, but tell me again which SEC defenses did Ben Roethlisberger pick apart in college prior to being the first QB taken in his class.
A blind man in a sinking row-boat can see that Bray is one of the most talented QBs in the country right now.
So what is the real problem you have with Bray? Did he sleep with your mom or something?
Last post I will do since this is not a Bray passing discussion thread, but go back and read. I was specifically talking about blitzing situations. Read before commenting.Yeah, Bray "winged it" last year with a 59.5% completion percentage.
