' 13 FL CB Mackensie Alexander

Cal me that guy but I'm fairly confident that this gy won't sign with us come nsd. It is just too odd of a commitment given his talent and offer list

Of all the reasons you could have listed, you went with talent and offer list. I have seen quite a few big time talents with elite offer lists come to TN before.

I will agree that this guy will be a tough one to sign, biggest reason being where he is from. Not many get out of the state from that area.

I wouldn't call this a commitment as much as a favorite. When a kid says there are other schools he is interested in and he will see what happens, I have to wonder how anyone can think that's a commitment.

That said, someone on staff id obviously earning their paycheck and should keep it up. We continue to go after top talent and I like that confidence.

Mackensie has been named a 1st team DB on the Army All-American Combine Team. He really impressed the people in attendance at the combine.

Defensive back was one of the deepest groups at the combine and the first team is loaded with top Division I talent. Alexander was aggressive and talkative and really hounded receivers all day.
-Rivals.

Aggressive and talkative= your usual top shelf cornerback. This guy is already my favorite commit for 2013. Going to be hard to keep him off the field.

We need to keep him locked. Just an odd commit. Hopefully we can get him up to some games this year, and seal the deal.

I just watched his junior film. Can't wait to see this guy at the next level. Love his style of play. He's an animal on the corner. We deserve a corner like this in CSS's system. He's just nasty and talking noise while doing his dirt on the corner. Lol I like how he's covering the bigger WRs too. He's attacking their arms and putting his body on them taking away their ability to just jump straight up. CSS will make him a high priority you can bet. I hope we bring in a CB coach and allow CTJ to coach safeties.

Least solid verbal I can remember. Our 2013 class is going to be SICK, but unless we have a massive season, I don't think this kid will be a Vol. His coach seemed SHOCKED by his commitment to UT.

dude, u are as bad as an insecure female.

how the hell are u negative in damn near every single post about recruits.

he's taking visits, thats what he's supposed to do.

be happy that arguably the top CB in the state of Florids for 2013 thought enough about us to give a verbal commitment.

CDH is on top of things, if he was so shakey why didnt he de-commit after his own bumbling coach spoke up against it.

let the kid take his visits man, he's going to camp other places in the summer as well, just tellin you now so u can let your man tears flow now and it wont be such an emotional burden on you in July

Yeah a lot of guys were upset but that's damn near the level of LSU fans talking to Jordan Jefferson type of stuff to me. Being mad is one thing but just calling him a thug for no apparent reason is another to me(read between the lines). But it is what it is. I'm personally very excited about the upgrades we're making to our secondary especially the CBs. We haven't had good CBs in years. Looks like CDD and CSS are making a real effort to change that. Bonner, Gray, Leggett(if we can get him in), and M.Alexander already will really give us a lot of capable athletes that can match up with anybody.

Totally agree about the CBs, and the secondary in general. One thing I really liked about Wilcox was the idea that we would run more nickel once we got the personnel. I hope our secondary is good enough by 2013 to where we start seeing blitzes from corners and safeties more frequently.

Really wanted Shelton, but I can't complain about Leggett. And holding onto Alexander wold be beastly.

Jay, this kid will not commit to Tennessee in the end. I am sick of kids not honoring commitments. Yes, it will continue to happen, but I don't personally like it. I understand when kids decommit due to coaching changes, health issues with parents, or unforeseeable circumstances, but I don't like when kids commit when they aren't ready to honor that commitment. His coach was flat out shocked when he committed and went on the record saying how he doesn't think this is a firm commitment, everybody was shocked. Now the kid is already visiting UF. I don't really see how my viewpoint frustrates someone like you who is familiar with the recruiting process. I'm a highly successful person who is anything but insecure and I love Tennessee, but I see through recruits BULL****.

With that being said, I have no problem with you, in fact I actually like most of your posts. Here's to a successful signing day. UT has a great class, hope we pull Kirven, from all indications it seems like we have a good shot, although it sucks Va Tech gets the last visit.

how in the hell do you known he wont remain committed?

out of all those schools that have offered, he decided a year in advance he wanted to commit to the Vols.

who are we in the college football world right now? why wouod he just throw Tennessee's name on the wall? that kid has more confidence in the program than our fans. If that kid was looking to commit just for the sake of it, why on Earth would he choose Tennessee ?

of course things can change but you have no rational for saying he wont be a Vol other than your insecurity.

his bumbling fool of a coach publicly questioned his commitment, that was as good a time as any for him to say 'yea, I should back off', he did not.

I thank you for appreciating some of the stuff I post. :hi:
