Is this team too young to go far in the tournament?

Ramar, Chism, and Crews are all going to have to really step up if we want to get to the sweet 16.

You could ask the same thing of a potential sweet 16 opponent, OSU.

Long Beach State only had 7 turnovers in their conference champ. game. So if we force a lot of turnovers kindof like we did against Bama, we could mess their game up.

They have alot of leadership in their starting five.. Have great ball movement, and are excetional in transition.. I watched them last night, and they are a very disciplined basketball team.

yeah i saw them too....they're not quite as powerful as winthrop, but they could potentially make this a very very close game....

Both are young and have less than 1 year of college experience. Talent-wise, you are right. Experience-wise, you are wrong.

They won the big ten conference tournamnet handily and got quite a bit of experience as far as tournament play goes (3 games 3 days)...so I'm not much worried about their experience...all the same...:hi:

I think youth equals inconsistency. They aren't mature enough to put together any kind of huge run, but a sweet sixteen trip is a very real possibility, but after that they would have to play every game like they played in the first half against UF. This team could come out and play like crap and be this year's victim of the 5/12 matchup, or they could play lights out and make 2 or 3 game run...there's no way to tell, but basing my opinion on their performance in tourneys and on the road this year, I'm thinking they squeak by Long Beach and get beaten in the 2nd round by UVA (even though I think UVA is a VERY winnable game)...I hope something clicks and the boys prove me wrong though!

Oden and Conley are heads above our guys so I fail to see the comparison...

Saying Conley is head and shoulders above Ramar is insane.. Most of his assists came from feeding it to Oden or Cook on the wing. Ramar will be a much better guard in the long run.. He could play in the NBA for a long time with the ceiling he has.

Again, It was as a duo...it doesn't matter where his assists come from...that fact's are he averages double what Ramar does....

I agree with you on Ramar and his ceiling, I hope he can take his game to the next level however, right now I would take OSU's freshman...that's all...

I think talent can outshine inexperance these days. With that said tOSU and UNC are going to be VERY tough to beat. As far as the Ramar/Conley debate I love Ramar but I'll definatley take Conley at this point.
