Could end up being like James Stone or Da'rick's recruitment. Didn't make much progress while Kiffin was here, but the change to Dooley is what flipped him....

Until this kid shuts down his recruitment/visits to other schools, I will assume that he is undecided on where he ultimately wants to spend his next 4-5 years. For a player to be committed for as long as he has been and still be on the fence, Id say it does not bode well for Tennessee. Hopefully Coach Sunseri can convince him to sign with UT in February. For some reason, I just have a strange feeling that NSD is going to turn out alot like Juco signing day did for UT. Sudden, unexpected flip flops to other schools.

If rivals doesn't bump Santos into the 250 and 4* him I will have lost ALL respect for the evaluations of players on that site. I already have very little for them anyway. They bumped a Bama commit from outside of the 250 into the top 100!!! Are you kidding me??

Yeah I stopped looking at the rivals stars a while ago. I usually just look to see the players commit list, and physical info. I kind of take a peak at the stars, but I'm mainly looking at the ones voted on by people not by the actual Rivals ones. They tend to be a decent indication or at least just as same....IMO that's all

If Dooley wins games this year, Rivals will suddenly love UT recruits. They evaluate guys on their measureables and HS performance.... but also give weight to coaches opinions. A nod from Saban, Miles, or Meyer right now is worth points with them.

I'm scared.....

Its a natural for a young kid to be worried a little. It's a big decision. CSS will go in and give him the low-down, and he will be fine.

The thing is that he want to be a VOL in his heart, so he just needs to make sure it will all be ok. Kind of when you are in love with a girl, and you have to sit and decide if she is the one you want to commit to for the rest of your life...at least this is what I'm told it should be like. :whistling:

~shrug~ Scout has Peters as a 3*, and he looks as ready as anybody to step on the field and play next season.

Dont be suprised if CSS locks this thing down weds.

Thanks for the insight, Skeet! I agree with you...I think we will be reading some nice quotes from VQ on Wednesday night or Thursday morning about how Santos and family love Sal and his vision with our defense, and how he can't wait to get to Rocky Top and put on the ORANGE and WHITE!! I bet Sal tells him that he is going to be his position coach as well. GO VOLS!

I think Tennessee has done a remarkable job holding onto recruits up to this point. Lost a dc, lbc and dline coach, its a miracle more recruits havent looked around or jumped ship.

Santos and his dad really like css, hopefully after weds its done.

In talking to the family the last few days, they did inform me that a UGA visit was possible, but they told me they are waiting on the visit with Sunseri to make that determination. They will definitely visit Arkansas this weekend. Sunseri will be in Van, Texas tomorrow.
