What are some of the players in Tenn. Vol history that you thought would go to the NFL or NBA and do great things but just went nowhere after college? We all have watched certain players and thought WOW he is goin to be a star only to be disappointed.

I didn't like him that much but I thought Kelley Washington would be a better pro than what he has turned into

Peerless Price didn't do as well as I thought he would.

Peerless Price was actually a very good #2 reciever with the Bills his first couple of years and then when he tried to be a No. 1 receiver for the Falcons he fell flat on his face and has never recovered....

In BB Dyron Nix talked a ton of smack about how Don Devoe hurt his draft status in the NBA.

He only lasted one year in the NBA.

if washington would have stayed in school a few more years and improved his skills, i think he would be much farther ahead in the nfl than he is right now. washington was one of the best wideouts we had had at ut in awhile back when he was playing.

Kelley left after an injury plagued (knee and neck) sophomore season...it was smart for him to leave because he was already 24, and couldn't risk staying and having another big injury before he got an NFL contract.

I do agree, though, that he hasn't lived up to his potential in the NFL.

I had pretty high expectations for Jabari Davis and Gerald Riggs when they came in as freshmen...but neither of those guys even did enough at UT for me to have expectations for them at the next level...:shakehead:

yep. all i heard before 2001 was how big of a star davis was going to be in college football. definitely on of the bigger busts ut has had in awhile. riggs didn't live up to expectations either while he was here. but he at least had one decent season with us.
