It's my understanding that the Santos family knows Sunseri from when Dalton camped at 'Bama prior to coming to Tennessee.

Austin spoke with them earlier, but I think they mainly just want to make sure a new guy is in place before they invest of their own finances to make an unofficial up here since Dalton took his official in-season.

I'm really starting to get a bad feeling about all of this. I want this kid, I feel as if he has lost a lot of interest in us. I feel like mcneil and santos have flip flopped stances with us. Three weeks ago, santos was solid and mcneil was not, now it feels like mcneil is solid and santos is not.

It will work out Pride, no worries. Santos' biggest concern right now is just knowing who his defensive coordinator will be and he and his family are worried about UT making a good hire, which is totally understandable. It'll be fine, he's a Vol :good!:

Plus, in the latest article about O'Brien on TOS, it seems like having his future roommate in his ear is helping:

"He's been pretty important," Santos said. "Knowing he's going to be there beside me next year to help me and me help him. At one time I think I was recruiting him and now I feel like he's recruiting me. He's been keeping us all in close contact. He's a good friend and it helps with everything."

Gentlemen, we have some LEADERS in this class.

I just don't like that he says o'brien was recruiting him. I just see that think bad thoughts.

It's not like how he was. He's a great player. I do think he stays with us, but I just don't like the bumpy road. He's a great talent and I think he starts by the bama gsme next year at the latest.

I can see how you would worry, but at the same time, I think it's much better that his future roommate is reaching out to him and keeping the ball rolling. I'm sure the coaches are working on him too, but I would much rather that contact from other recruits who are VFL happen than not.

since when did 17 year old kids get this rational? i like this kid on attitude alone!

This is why he is my favorite of this class. Santos and now O'Brien as well as McNeil seem to have the right mindset to be the leaders this team has not had in several years. I am loving how the future is looking for UT!!!!!!

From OSU board...

"I'm still committed to Tennessee, but they've had a few changes to the coaching staff," Santos stated after Wednesday's practice. "I am looking around, and I've had several coaches contact me. I am going to head back to Tennessee on the 13th. Then, I'm going to Arkansas on the 20th. The weekend after that I'm going to go to Ohio State."

"Ohio State just started recruiting me this week," he added. "I spoke to (assistant coach) Luke Fickell last night. He called me and said he liked my film, and I told him I'm definitely interested. I just want to enjoy this game and play my best, and focus on the recruiting when I leave here." '12 LB - Dalton Santos (Tennessee "Soft" Verbal) - Page 2 - ScarletBuckeye - Ohio State Forums

Old news. He was quoted after this interview saying he was solid to UT. We just need to get coaches hired. However, out of everyone committed, he's probably the one wavering the most (and I'm still not worried).

I guess he could bluntly tell them that he isn't coming, and is coming to UT. Being 17, I could see a 17/18 year old just telling the coach something to get their emotions up.

Last week on Scout I saw where he said "I dont care who the coaches are, I love everything about Tennessee" or something close to that.

Yea. I think other sites are feeding off of what was going on at UT. Recruits were being contacted by the media more frequently. Now that it is obvious the coaching search has started and there are candidates, you aren't hearing much anymore.

This is going to sound crazy but here's my opinion. If a DC isn't in place this weekend and he doesn't come on his visit I think that might be a positive and here's why.

I feel like he is committed enough to at least give us one more look when we do hire a DC and thus visit more than likely the 28th weekend. That would eliminate an OHS visit and give us the last visit. I see that as a better scenario than him coming with no dc.

Fair point. However if we don't get a DC in soon I think the universe may implode or so you would think reading VN
