Good news should not wait..especially for this position. Therefore, I find it difficult to accept it is a done deal.

One writer who has been wrong before is the only person in Florida that said anything. Also this belief that we will get more coverage because of the BCSNC game Monday is insane. We may announce Monday but that will not be why.

I've heard from quite a few people who have boasted sources other than the one writer you speak of.

As far as your point about announcing Monday, i strongly disagree. If it's announced Monday, it will scroll across the bottom of the screen for the whole game. How is that not getting more coverage? everyone will see it.

I agree we are a 5-7 football team. No one is going to care other than vol fans. So if it is Monday it will not be to make a splash.

because our record from the previous year is the only thing anyone knows about Tennessee. Give me a break. College football fans know about us. It's like Michigan winning a BCS bowl this year. It's good for college football when Michigan is good. It's good for college football when Tennessee is good as well. We are a storied program with a lot of tradition and history, and everyone knows we have been going through a rough patch. It's not like people just forget about you when you are down. Any college football fan that sees that we hired RS as our DC will know it's a good hire.

I'm beginning to think this simply isn't going to happen. Multiple media outlets are vehemently insisting that Shannon has not been contacted.

I do agree with the sentiment that where there's smoke, there's fire, but to be honest, I just don't wanna get my hopes up. :ermm:

Hart just faxed him an offer....both Hart and DD are presently at Kinkos....on the strip, waiting for his reply.

It's apprears to be 89% (VN metric) a done deal....Zook will be the DC....and a good one at that.
