I am waiting to hear from the two best sources on what is going on with Vol football: Dooley or Hart. Until one of them announce, it has not happened.

Two players now in the last ten minutes are telling me that this post is false. Doesn't mean RS wont be the new DC but the players for sure have not been "notified"

If true, DD has done all he can. If RS turns us down, don't be asses and rip DD because another big name turned us down. That BS gets old.

With three losing seasons the past four years, Kiffin burning us, asst coaches leaving and dealing with injuries to our best players, its about time we have something like this happen(I hope). If we get Shannon, we are gonna reel in some recruits we weren't in on before the Shannon rumors, jmo.

I was told that had already been notified. That could very well prove to be false, but from all indications Randy Shannon will be our next DC.

Hart needs to hand Shannon a suitcase full of money to push this deal through.

Anyone other than Shannon will be a bust of a hire, IMO. Maybe not longterm, but we (and especially Derek Dooley) don't have the luxury of time right now.

Its valid, LSU doesn't run any complicated scheme.
They have some of the best talent in the country on that side of the ball. They don't give up anything in the run game keeping 7/8 in the box, and have pro talent in every position on the back end to keep it all in front of them.
The Ala/LSU game will have 23 players that will be drafted, and the bulk of that is on the defensive side
