Congrats Nate!

Hi Dep, I got to sit next to Nate Peterman's uncle at the game last night...really nice people. The Peterman family was sitting right behind the Croom family. We had a little VolNation right there. Go to Jason Croom's thread. His mom posted some great pictures.

I was lucky enough to get to meet Peterman, Croom, Peters, and Bullock on Wednesday. All nice, respectful young men. Very proud that they are Vols!

From a football standpoint, he has plenty of arm strength, excellent mobility, very accurate. Timing with WR will improve with more than 2 days of practice :)
He had to scoop EVERY snap up from ankle level from shotgun. Oline did not give much time or protection...definitely affected timing too. He will be a great addition to the team! Headed to Knoxville soon and cannot wait per his uncle :)

it felt good to represent the Vols with such a prese nce in the audience and on the field, not mention all the awards the Vol commits took with them!

Who said Dooley doesnt know what he'a doing??? tell'm MZTERRY said bite me!

I vote MZTERRY as ROTY. (Recruiter of the Year) You are priceless.

I read that some of the media guys covering the O and D Game make comments that Peterman took a lot of risks and threw into tight windows. Thats what good QBs do folks. Look at NFL QBs. They throw into foot wide windows. You rarely see NFL WRs open by 5 yards as you do in college football.

Sounds like we are getting a fine QB who will get even better with time and experience.

Peterman, a Tennessee commitment, was the highest-ranked quarterback in the game and he played well in the loss. Peterman tends to take a lot of risks but most of them paid off in the game. He was able to find receivers in small windows.
- Perroni

The Tennessee pledge had the strongest arm and threw the deep and intermediate balls as well as he did the short ones. Peterman's arm allowed the speedy wide receivers to stretch the field since he had no problems hitting them deep. He takes a lot of risks but there is no denying his natural ability.
- Rivals

Named "Best Arm" during O-D week.

Thanks VolsDoc. I'll check Croom's thread for the pictures. Yeah, I've spoken to Nate's uncle and parents and brother during the season. They are great folks and a fine example of why Nate is such a great kid.

Sounds like what I was saying during the season when I did my updates. Only knock on him is he sometimes tries to shoe horn a ball in there. Heck, he was successful more often than not doing it. Nate has a great arm and knows what to do with the ball.

Thank goodness they noticed it too. Wouldn't want ya'll to think I was blowing smoke in all my updates...LOL.

i honestly believe he will be a great QB and will pass Worley in under 2 years

+1
I trust certain posters in certain regions on here. Jay is one of the Florida guys I trust. I thought he would pass Worley too. But having Worley on the roster to go along with Peterman whenever Bray leaves is a lot better than having Simms as our option. Hope Dooley gets it together on the field. He's recruiting well in a lot of areas(but still takes some kids I look a little sideways at).
