Pearl on PTI

No, they just haven't been able to play on the road, up until the last game, with, or without Lofton.
This is why I think that the UGA game will be a pretty good indicator of where this team is.

Yes, Mercer was their best player.. But Gaines is one of the better guards in the league. The pups also play pretty well at home even without Mercer. We'll probably take their best shot this Saturday..

Might also want to keep fans' expectations in check. Most realize there's a long, long way to go. But some evidently already booked tickets to Atlanta for 3/31 and 4/2. Can't say as I blame anyone for their enthusiasm after last night, but Pearl probably wants everyone to slow down and take a deep breath and, again, remain focused on the next task at hand.
Honestly, you seem to be the one puffing up the Vols the most about getting hot at the right time...

If anyone has ESPNEWS, PTI is airing again right now and the Pearl segment will be coming up again in a minute or two.

My favorite part of the interview is where they show the clip of Chism stuffing Noah and then Noah sitting down and throwing his towel. Priceless..

A very valid, if not incredibly obvious, question.

It is a valid question, but I'm not sure the Gator fans should get too worked up about it at this point. It is nearly impossible for a group of 20 year olds to be at or near their best for a near 40 game season; complacency, or boredom, or fatigue sets in at some point. And Florida is talented and experienced enough to regain the form that saw them blowing people out in mid-season.

I actually thought UF looked like they were starting to find their mojo in the second half last night, albeit against a Tennessee team that might have lost some focus after going up by 4 touchdowns. The last 10 minutes or so they played some pretty good basketball.

Anyway, lackluster performances Saturday and in the SECT from this point would be a real cause for concern, but don't be surprised if you see Florida rounding into championship form over the next couple of games.

He just had another Interview with ESPNNews about 20 mins ago...

Could Tennessee have asked for a better coach? No!
Bruce is the best coach Tennessee could ever have asked for...

Stukes was also out of tonight's game against UK, suspended because of "conduct detrimental to the team". I'm wondering if maybe he's suspended for Sat too...

And now the guys on Best Damn are hyping up the Vols...talking with UT alumni James Denton (Desperate Housewives) about UT basketball. Coach Pearl has generated more positive publicity for our athletic department than any other coach in the country has for any other athletic department over the past few years. We are extremely fortunate to have him in Big Orange country.
