What a night for Tennessee basketball!

You can't say enough about our freshmen...Duke Crews was assertive and tough, Josh Tabb continues to quietly make strides on both ends of the court, Ramar Smith is unguardable, and Chism is becoming a dominant force in this league.

Chris Lofton had a great game, but didn't have to carry us on his shoulders...Jajuan played well, and Ryan Childress played out of his mind in the first half.

Dane Bradshaw had a fine game tonight...he had a couple of clutch baskets, clutch rebounds, clutch assists and clutch free throws...a great performance in his final night in TBA.

And we did an outstanding job of showcasing our university and our school spirit tonight...from Pat singing Rocky Top, Coach Fulmer and Peyton Manning in the stands, and Dick Vitale wearing that ridiculous Orange and White hat, Tennessee basketball has never been more finely displayed.

I'm very proud of our team and our school...it's great to be a Tennessee Vol!

It's been real and it's been fun, but it hasn't been real fun. I gotta hit the sack, I have a long day tomorrow. Everyone take it easy and enjoy basking in the glory of handing the gators their @$$ on a silver platter. GOD BLESS AND GO VOLS!!!

Hat, you're late. I called the '08 Final Four a LONG time ago. :eek:lol: It still means more coming from someone who has been sworn in though.

My seat tonight was 107, row 18, seat 5. Also, as I enjoy a Warsteiner, I must admit I have been wrong in how I've attacked Peyton Manning and Dane Bradshaw. I realized I have been very hypocritical where they are concerned. I constantly rip people for being hard on Allen Iverson, Ray Lewis, Sean Taylor, et al because they attack them for what can best be describes as personality/lifestyle issues. Well, I've done the same thing, to an extent, to Manning and Bradshaw. Just because Peyton doesn't roll with supemodels and Dane doesn't play the game with an angry edge doesn't mean I should diminish them. Pearl's intro of Dane during the pregame reminded me that college sports aren't just about guys who put up huge numbers and make all conference. College sports are also about the moderately talented kid who lays it all on the line for his school. Dane Bradshaw may not be the kind of player who gets you to a Final Four, but he is the kind of young man who brings honor to our university. I thought the fact Brad Nessler and Dick Vitale left the broadcast table to congratulate Dane spoke volumes.

Hat, as is often the case, I agree with you on all points. Ramar Smith is a stud. Hope he's here all four years, but I kinda doubt it. He will only improve.

In fact, I was sitting at Rooster's, of all places, with some friends, watching the game, and I remember telling someone at halftime that the first half was the best half I've ever seen a UT team play. And it was. Simply awesome.

The possibilities for next year are endless, but I, for one, am just not quite done with THIS year. If we can play at this level in the Big Dance, we're going to be a VERY tough out for anybody. That includes UCLA, Ohio St. (who we already should have beat), Wisconsin, whoever. Bring it. A Sweet 16 berth is no longer out of the question. Of course, it depends largely on the draw - UT matches up much better against some teams than others.

Should we call the police to report hatvol's blackjack stolen?

All kidding aside, classy post. :salute:

I'm nowhere near intoxicated. Just owning up to the fact I might have been in the wrong. It happens so rarely that I have no problem admitting it.

Dane had a great game tonight. I knew we were on fire when he hit the three. He is a fine young man. I wish him the best.

Any time Dane and Childress are playing well, it just isn't the other team's night.

Warsteiner is a nice beer. The Pres Pub is a better bar. And that was a great game. I'm envious.

(draft Guinness at home though, so it could be worse)
