I'm not going to cry over spilled milk here, but what did Jacobs expect? If he really told the Vol coaches that he was committed to them and switched at the end, I think it is a bit of a shady and low-character move.
Granted, Tennessee has had its share of "steals" so now that the shoe is on the other foot, it hurts. Tennessee will get past this-- but it does hurt! Those guys really did not do anything for the program (in recent years)... Bryce Brown. Janzen Jackson. Nuke. The list goes on.
Well, I did forget about Da'Rick and Justin. Those kids are studs.
Should I say here's to hoping Jacobs goes the Bryce Brown route as opposed to a Justin Hunter role on UF?
Coaches me with the parents this weekend. Told them Vol.
If Jacobs likes to read Volnation... he's a lying coward. Run tell that.
Ugh, that makes me pretty irritated to read this!
Jacobs... hope you are reading this. You are young and this is a mistake you're making, and hopefully in a few years you will realize you should treat others (not fans, but coaches and such who put in the time recruiting you) with a bit more respect.
Florida is about to see what worse than Zook means.
Why do you guys do this to yourselves? You know that isn't going to happen. As challenging as this year was with so many injuries and being forced to play so many young players, we still finished with a top 10 defense (which we're always going to have under Muschamp) and made it to a bowl game. Lesser programs would have completely imploded with the amount of setbacks and misfortune that we faced this year. But we're Florida and we're never going to go away. In fact, once we straighten out our offense and add the likes of Matt Jones, Nelson Agholor, Stefon Diggs, DJ Humphries, Colin Thompson, Kent Taylor, etc., we're going to be virtually unstoppable. Envision a team with this year's Bama defense combined with the passing ability of 08 Oklahoma yet also featuring a Trent Richardson type of running game....that's pretty much going to be us. What we're building right now is not just going to win championships, it's going to change the way people think about the game.
Damien Jacobs knew this. He saw what was being constructed down here in the F-L-A and felt he had to be part of it. So, don't hate on the kid for realizing it was an opportunity he couldn't pass up.

if we miss on him and stefon diggs we're screwed at WRThis kid is a BEAST. If you guys don't know you better ask somebody. I hate the fact that UF will more than likely land this kid. Don't be surprised if he has the kind of impact that Sammy Watkins did for Clemson. I was hoping he would end up at ND or USCw and keep him out of the SEC.
