I tried. The problem is that the person they let you talk to has no investment in the outcome of that conversation. As a consequence, its like telling the kid in the drive thru at Wendy's that their fries are not as good as McDonald's.

They already know that. And could not possibly care less.
Does Cingular have retail stores? If so, go into one of their stores and start complaining about things, especially in earshot of the other customers. They'll eventually get on the horn with a higher level dude at the main office. This trick worked for me when it came to getting a new phone via Sprint.

I did this with U.S. Cellular over the weekend. I went to one of their stands at the mall and started talking to him about my crappy phone. He proceeded to pick up the phone and call someone of importance and let us talk to them and I left with a new phone before my contract was up. A lesson I learned from the owner of the company that I work for now, God rest his soul, is that if you raise enough hell you will get what you want.

Toughest game of the season to predict, I think. The crowd will be nuts, emotions will be high, and I think BOTH teams will be up for the game. Given that, though, Florida simply has more firepower. Hate to do it, guys, and I hope I'm wrong, but:

UF 84
UT 76

I disagree, in all seriousness, I think the closer we are to 90, the better.

I don't think UT has the scorers to participate in a shootout with the Gators. You have to play physically with these guys to throw them off. You cannot out-finesse Florida.

by the way LG, i used to work for a cell phone service provider, the one way to get anything you want is "let me talk to your supervisor" and if you can't it from the first one, ask to talk to his supervisor. eventually they will give in.

it's not a matter of out-finessing them, it's about out-running them, on the scoreboard.

While I am a self proclaimed novice in this area, I just don't think the Vols have the horses to outrun the Gators this year.

Gators are hungry after a loss to LSU, but Vols prevail 77-74!:eek:k: Would be a huge win for the Vols!

What we don't have is the ability to out-power Florida. Our best chance lies in running them up and down the court. Pearl's strategy is to make the game messy. "Controlled Chaos" works because the Vols see it every day, while most teams try to make their game smooth. UT's press is designed to do two things: 1. Speed up the game 2. Get the opponent out of their groove. The faster the game goes, the better it should be for the Vols. That's evidenced by the fact that UT almost always wins when they score 80+ (The Vols are 13-3 when scoring over 80 this year).

Can I get an Amen brother!
Reverend Cleophus James says:

"When I woke up this morning, I heard a disturbin' sound."

"I said, when I woke up this morning, I heard a disturbin' sound.

"What I heard, was the jingle-jangle, of Joakim Noah's teeth, when they hit the ground!"

"It's too late, it's tooooo late for them to follow the ways of the Pearl now."

"Don't be lost when your time comes ... Don't be lost when your time comes..."

"For the day of the Pearl is coming, like a thief at night."

It's hard for me realistically to see UT scoring over 80 tonight. I'll be praying, though.

i keep saying the magic number is somewhere between 85 and 90, but i am starting to think it may be more around the lines of 80. im not saying we can't win if we don't score 80, but if we do it certainly bodes well.

Score of 80 for UT I think wins the game. Think final score will be in the high 60's to mid 70's.

Will be screaming at the TV in a Gator bar for first half so I certainly hope our kids can do it.
