Glad to know that discrimination is still alive and well. I hope at some point as a species we can move past it but I guess not.

Your welcome for having affordable healthcare premiums. That's me helping to support you. I exercise self control to remain healthy which requires very little medical attention, so you can hit up the greasy buffets and chug diet sodas and still get the diabetes and cholesterol/blood pressure medicine that you need.

*you're

Ron Mexico passes a physical fitness test at least once, if not twice, a year. He also has his insurance through the DoD and then will have it through the VA - this will drive your premiums neither up nor down.

Now, as for what disasters befall society due to the illiterate and the ill-informed, that question will never be exhausted.

Insurance Company-Blah, blah, blah fat people. Sorry folks, we have to raise everyone's premiums. Blah, blah, blah drunks. Sorry again, folks, we gotta go up more. Blah, blah, blah smokers....uh, sorry folks, you know it's not our fault it's theirs so we have to increase again. Blah, blah, blah, uh something. Not our fault we keep raising the rates. Wait, what? Don't look behind the curtain. That's where we make up all this, uh, I mean research stuff. No peek.

Obesity is a choice. Obesity is not a race. Obesity can be prevented. Obesity can be reversed.

I hate smoking. It pollutes my lungs when other people do it. I have a right to discriminate against actions that harm me.

I hate criminal activity. I pay higher taxes to house criminals. I pay more for goods because of shoplifters. I have a right to discriminate against actions that take my hard earned income unnecessarily.

How cute! Petty boy philosopher lurks around a thread with no input until he can find a grammatical error to come to the defense of one of his fellow zone tards!

I gave input and you conveniently ignored it ('health supplements').

There are also severe health risks associated with running marathons; are you just as avid in your denunciation of individuals that run marathons?

Right! Because those are both private and self supporting. Doesn't touch the public's income at all.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say its unhealthier to exist in an obese state then it is to run the occasional marathon.

You're really reaching now. Marathons vs obesity?

You can do better.

It does not touch you premiums; it might touch your taxes, but 50% of Americans do not pay taxes and the individuals that qualify for VA Medical Care are, for the most part, either recent combat veterans or retirees (individuals that served at least twenty years in the service; passing physical fitness tests in each of those twenty years).

When you say you have a right to hate or discriminate against certain groups, decisions, or people that leads down a slippery slope I really don't want to follow.

Reread the post. I hate ACTIVITY that adversely affects me.

If that bothers you, sorry. This country was founded on having rights without harmful influence from others.

You could always invest enough money so that you do not have to pay for health insurance and you can pay the actual costs of whatever health care you receive. Every time you see receive any type of medical care (whether that be a physical, a prescription refill, joint-surgery, etc.), you either cause the premiums for everyone else that is covered by your insurance provider to go up or to remain at the same level; you certainly keep them from going down.

VA medical care is money well spent. Rediculously under funded imo. Some VA hospitals and nursing homes are embarrassingly bad considering what their patients payed to get there.

Clearly bamacheats isn't capable of having an adult conversation.

Will you please list every activity you participate in? I guarantee there is something you (and everyone) do that other people believe is unhealthy or risky. I consider myself pretty healthy, but apparently bama spies on me and believes otherwise.

That's the plan. But your fellow philosopher Obama is trying to screw me over on that.

Good decision BTW, giving up the marathon example. :)

Activity = Decisions

So if I was a fat, drunk, smoker you would want me to be sent to the gulags?

Could be. If there is, I'll stop, apologize, and offer restitution. I certainly will not demand that others support my activity that adversely influences others or else they're a bigot.

I'd want you to lose weight, quit smoking, and only drink high end scotch (too expensive to get drunk) and then yell "F*** you Alabama!" at the 2012 Bans game with me.

The rate of of obesity surely isn't jumping roughly 20% every year like my health insurance. Not to mention the actual benefits decrease on top of that. Surely it's not the greed & gross overpricing of the health care industry. The fact companies cut cost by reducing what they pay might have an affect as well.

But you are making my neighbors insurance go up by __________. Fill in whatever you do, speeding, eating fried chicken, driving a gasoline powered car and polluting my air.

You are EXACTLY the kind of "man" John Wayne would have kicked in the sack. Live your life dude, enjoy some things, quit worrying about what other people do to increase your healthcare premiums....stop worrying that out of balance tires on your neighbor's car are causing potholes on your street, thus causing higher taxes.....just stop, man up, go build something, weld something, kill a small animal but for goodness sake stop being a freaking woman and quit yer bit****.

I think if you'll take this to heart, we could move on to the other whiny men in this country....one at a time....and take our society back.

According to the New England Journal of Medicine, tobacco use staves off Alzheimers...
