I haven't heard a whole lot about him yet.. Im pretty sure he's participating in Spring Practice... This kid has a big upside, and i like to see Fulmer talking about him rather that Lucas Taylor for the starting position..
Did Quinton get a medical redshirt last season, i hope so cause i would like to have 4 more seasons with him..

Taylor is a better reciever than you think, he just hasn't proven it to everyone yet. Other than that Hancock probably has more upside than any reciever currently on the roster. I don't think he needs a medical redshirt he just got a redshirt and he should have 4 more seasons unless he played some this year.

I read in the paper the other day that Hancock make a one handed leaping catch over Hefney that caught Fulmers eye.

that's awesome.. he sounds like a big play WR.. Every catch that i hear he makes is at least a 40 yard burner.. :)

He played against Cal and Memphis. Which means he cannot get the redshirt. I'm not sure whether or not Phil was able to get the medical RS for him though.

You'd figure he would if he only played two games with limited contribution

I thought you could play 2 games and still get a redshirt.. That was the limit though, no more than 2 games.. That would suck if we just wasted a year on him for 2 catches..:banghead2:

Any play means you've competed in a year of football:

You should know that NCAA rules indicate that any competition, regardless of time, during a season counts as one of your seasons of competition in that sport. It does not matter how long you were involved in a particular competition (for example, one play in a football game, one point in a volleyball match); you will be charged with one season of competition.

Not true. They run on a percentage of games played and games available to play. Marques Johnson started 4 games for the basketball team and was still able to RS before he transferred. However, CPF said that they were still waiting on Hancock's application for RS, but doubted they would win that fight with the NCAA.

Fulmer is waiting for approval for the Medical Redshirt. You don't have to get approval for a regular RS
