A ton more ads. You are no longer able to see parties on the main homepage. In order to see the parties you have to go to Social, then to parties. If you go to social only it will show your friends separately, not grouped by which parties they are in. The beacons are a nice addition though I will admit, but get annoying fast. Constant scrolling ads/spotlights on each pane, that include ones with sound. Also Netflix is having issues with the new dashboard right now.

New update is not that bad, but kinda pointless. New Dashboard feels kinda like the PS3 XMB. More ads, but it also cuts down on a lot of the fat. Cloud storage is pretty nice.

I noticed a new (I think?) category in the system settings, called "TV". Doesn't seem to be implemented yet. I assume it will have something to do with Comcast/Xfinity.

New dashboard = FAILLLLLLLLLL. Deleted my profile and won't let me recover it. Xbox live seems to have crashed.

It hasnt crashed, they are having issues with it right now. I had connectivity issues at first and then it started to "act right" and I have been good for a while. Should be back up to 100% by the morning.

By crashed I meant overload, kind of like VN after we lost to UK.

Dashboard looks nice. How do I change my theme though? And my XBL has been screwing up. Was able to download Netflix but it then disconnected. Hope it's fixed by tomorrow.

Pretty nice update IMO, just different. Like anything else it will just take a little getting used to. I had the connectivity issues at first as well, but it eventually let me connect.

Don't really see where the hate is coming from toward the ads. I don't see that much of an increase in them.

You have to select your avatar under the "social" tab. From there i'm pretty sure it will bring up an option to change it.

Agree with this. If anything they are more easy to avoid on the new dashboard because they are usually located in the bottom right corner. On the old version you often times had to scroll through tab after tab of ads just to find what you were looking for.

New Netflix is trash, why mess with it? As for the new dashboard, the marketplace section has taken a step or two backwards. They keep adding more and more sections and complicating things. Looking at and joining parties now takes more button presses, why? Oh and the constant beacon notifications are extremely irritating, should be able to turn that crap off without turning off notifications.

Where the hell is my HBO GO app?

Its on the way.....not sure exact date, but it isnt too far in the future. The only real exciting coming additions are that, the UFC app, and the MBL app for me.

I like it, definitely better than the one before. I didn't care for all the boxes you had to scroll through. And I think the complaint against the ads is because it's a smaller space now. Looks the same amount to me.

Interested to see how their app marketplace takes form. I'm glad to see a YouTube app coming.

UFC app is out on live. It also let's you purchase UFC 141 for free



Edit: the free UFC 141 is sold out
