No Huddle Offense

Doesn't this mean that we will definitely see non-2007 signees as starters at WR? I mean, it's hard enough to come into a BCS conference and learn an offense, much less into a no huddle.

Or am I missing something?

Im willing to bet that all the receivers who signed are studying UT"s playbook and workin with someone on the plays

How many plays are we talking about? If UT goes to a no huddle part of the game maybe 8-12 plays tops? When is the last time UT had a game where UT used 30 different plays?

exactly, UT's offense has never been that complicated, or atleast it hasnt shown on saturdays... so im thinkin there is at the most 10 no huddle plays that the 2007 class has to learn and then the base offense, shouldnt be that difficult to pick up if they are preparing and ready to play like they have a great chance to do

I like this no huddle offense.. There are a lot of recruits that would love to play for a quick, dynamic offense with more plays a game.. Now UT can get the 5 star stud QB's everyone has been wanting. and some more stud WR's.. :)

dont really understand that but on another note...cutcliffe mentioned implementing an offensive scheme similar to arkansas' last year(cant remember the name of it at the moment). its kinda exciting but we may be overloading our youngsters here.

UT has 2 good QB's backing up Ainge and another one on the way in Coleman

Would Berry, Jones or someone else run that offense? Taylor played QB in high school but I don't think he scares people like Darren does :)

yes i would certainly prefer berry does it. we should let taylor concentrate on improving at his actual position.

This has been said before, but Berry mentioned that coaches told him once he got the DB part down they would let him run some offensive plays. But to be honest, do you see UT changing the O enough to let Berry do this?

Berry isn't going to play QB for us. Actually, Lucas Taylor would probably be an excellent option QB. He ran it extremely well in high school. He tallied over 500 yards rushing by himself in just one game.

He seems to have gotten that deer in the headlight look since he got here though.

But I do believe that Berry is not going to be receiving any snaps, maybe line up at receiver or TB later on his career here

OK. He rarely saw the field last year behind one of the most talented WR trio's' UT has ever had. The year before that, he returned a few punts and ran a few reverses. You really won't see what he can do as a wide receiver until next season.

no not really...just wishful thinking. i think if anyone got to do it, it would be taylor...

Muffed punts anyone? Fumbled kickoffs? He has made some nice catches (see Air Force) and he still has 2 years to produce, but when he had the ball in his hands, nothing good seemed to happen, with the exception of Florida.

i hope he proves me wrong...but i just dont see him living up to that 4-star potential he had. correct me if im wrong, but when we did play him on punts and reverses, he did virtually nothing.

agreed. and the only reason the play at florida worked was my boy coker on the receiving end:)
