I don't care if Dooley has to ask pretty pretty please with cherries and whipped cream on top. The one thing I think Bray needs is a mentor to say "look kid, here's what you have to do". Erik Ainge had the benefit of having coach Cutt come back. Maybe a little tutoring session with Peyton is exactly what Tyler Bray needs.

We can if we add Peyton to the staff.... NCAA may frown on additional coaches without approval.... JMHO

Wonder if we could talk Peyton into getting on one of those Bray tatoos on his back?

Taking one for the ole Alma Mater

I think Dooley should schedule a field trip for the team to Walter Reed Army and Bethesda Naval Hospitals. They could visit with other young men their own ages and compare hardships. Have Bray and Rodgers share their stats, lockeroom drama, what they did during their time away from football and not wanting to play in a crappy bowl game.

The only way that it will work is if Bray and Da'Rick grow beards similar to the kid's in your avatar. :)

I agree 100%. Maybe have Tim Tebow take them to the PI and let them see how some people in this world really have it.

Why is some thinking Tyler needs help all off a sudden? He was not 100% against Vandy or Kentucky and was sick in the KY game. Chill out, damn. A broken thumb or any finger is probably the toughest injury for a QB to recover from. If you can't grip the ball, you lose control and velocity.

He has become flu-prone IMO.

Because he puts very little effort into the game besides showing up, at least that seems to be what's going on. How many starting QB's need their coaches to force them to sit-down for 45mins a day and study football?

This to me is the biggest blow from losing to Kentucky, our ridiculously fickle fans becoming Bray haters because the kid had ONE bad game (While he is still recovering from injury). After all the great games Bray has played for us, nobody here has the right to trash talk him. He's the best QB we've had come along in a while and before the Kentucky game he was God's gift to Tennessee football. Now our crybaby fans are starting threads and bashing him. Makes no sense to me.

I took it to mean to try and get him to teach him what it takes to perform at the highest level. The study of the position, the hours of film, to become a complete QB in both the pass and run game. However, Tyler may be just too laid back for that to sink in. I don't know if he really wants to put in the work it would take to get in the NFL. Don't know how badly he wants it.

The "biggest blow" would be losing to UK and the remarks made afterward about the attitude of the team going into and during the game.

Send certain Vol fans to share how being beat by Kentucky was the end of the world as we know it.

Bashing is unnecessary, but it's clear from Bray's play and even Dooley's comments that the guy needs to get serious about how he prepares. He's got the physical tools to be all-world but mentally doesn't look to be there yet.

Don't forget he does not have 1 single quality win yet as the starting QB.

the nfl's greatest passer taking our qb under his wing. WE CANNOT WIN IN OUR CONFERENCE WITH OUT RUNNING THE BALL. PLEASE REPEAT AFTER ME. WE CANNOT WIN IN OUR CONFERENCE WITH OUT RUNNING THE BALL. we must spend the spring learning and focusing on running the football.

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say. Please repeat it again...

You realize this is the same Tyler Bray that got tons of praise from the coaching staff because of the time he spent working on his game on his own time outside of practices right?

And the "quality win" argument is pointless. Take the Florida game for example, nobody could argue Bray did his part, above and beyond. It's his supporting cast that blew that one. A qb can only do so much.
