There will never be a level playing field. It's an ideal that cannot be achieved or even measured.

We can however make a level playing field with regard to the law. We achieved that in 1964.

That's an unfortunate instance, and you're not the first white person that's happened to in the last 30 years. Again though, it pales in comparison to the discrimination against blacks in the not too distant past and doesn't equate to the still lingering discrimination practiced today.

But it still isn't. A black man gets arrested for selling drugs in the ghetto and goes to jail. A white man gets arrested for selling drugs in the burbs and goes to rehab.
Sure, the law reads the same for both races. There is still a divide in the disposition of justice.

Again, getting the police to enforce the law perfectly fairly is an ideal we will not achieve.

The War on Drugs is a violation of freedom for all of us, regardless of race.
