You had injuries to 2 of your top playmakers, a dismissal before the season starts, you are forced to run out a freshman RB that you thought would only be a special teammer behind your senior RB and stud newcomers, and you have to go to frat row to get your self a place kicker...

And most of your team is sophomores and freshmen.

But yeah, lets fire Dooley.

YOUTH IS NOT AN EXCUSE! Mo Couch even said that!
For God's sake! Is this what America became? The United States of Excuses? It's no one's fault...it's always something!
This upcoming generation can be called the bum-pouty generation! They don't man up, don't take responsibility and pout ALL THE TIME!

See Kentucky fans know what they are talking about. They are holding up 1 finger. My inside sources told me they were chanting "once in my lifetime, once in my lifetime".

That one guy is so happy, he must be a member here, he knew what was about to go down.

It's not an excuse. It's just a fact of life. No one would be talking about the youth if it weren't for all the knee-jerk reactions about firing Dooley, who is poised to have his 3rd top 15 class in a row, quite an accomplishment considering what he was up against from the start.

"You can expect 1 loss for every freshman that starts." -Bear Bryant

Reporter: Your offensive line was really getting it done out there today.
Coach Bryant: They're supposed to. They're all seniors.

Yeah, cause the ONE game in which Brodus played in, they won is a reason to make excuses for Dooley.

So you are now calling out all of Americas youth because some Vol fans feel like youth is to blame for the University of Tennessee's football failures.

Get real old man.

Your right, it's not an excuse, it's a fact! If you have ever played a sport in your life you will know there is tremendous difference in a Freshman and a Senior ( high school or college ).

Just like the OP said...

We lost our 2 best players on the team - Hunter and Jackson.
Lose our star, and only valuable QB.
We've got a baseball player and 2 freshman starting in our secondary.
We've got 2 freshman linebackers starting on either side of a fullback turned linebacker.
We lose our best linebacker before the season even starts.
We lose a starting DL before the season even starts.
We played the #1, #2, #8 and #12 teams in the country.

There are loyal fans, there are delusional fans, then there are the University of Tennessee fans. Some of you guys are absolutely out of your damn mind. You still fail to see just how bad this program was after Fulmer and Kiffin. How many coaches turned down the job before Dooley was man enough to take it?

I mean, we lost to a bad Kentucky, there is no excuse for that game IMO. But **** me people, we are 26-1 against them in the past 27 years. Calm down! I'm a Dooley supporter, but I'm also a realist. He needs one more year minimum to make his case. If he does not have a signature win after next year, it's time to look ahead.

I'm only mad becuase he lost to Kensucky.

Guess we know how the Bamers felt when Saban lost to La-Monroe... How the Michigan fans felt when losing to Appy St... How Flarduh fans felt when losing to Ole Miss... How I felt losing to Memphis in '96....

The list goes on and on. Why don't you all just realize that sh!t happens and get over it!! Good lord, some of you people have 1 track minds!

No, i think it might be the United States of Fire somebody if we don't get immediate gratification/results. Lets not work to build anything, because it should already be built. Well folks like it or not the cupboard was bare, don't care whos coaching its going to take time to build back a championship program.

I love the Vols and I like Dooley but youth didn't lose the game against KY. IMO, it's the wrong excuse. That game had poor coaching written all over it. I point the finger at Heistand, Chaney, & Joseph, all the way up to Dooley.

I'm prepared to give Dooley a mulligan but it's the only one I'm granting until I see measurable improvement somewhere in our program. If our staff pulls this crap next year against NCST, Akron, Troy, Vandy, KY, or GaSt. I'm climbing on board the "get rid of Dooley bandwagon."
