Coaching Change Today per Swain

If they are making changes, it's without Dooley there. He's here in Fl.

Thanks Dep. This is funny,,VolNation going veinal over our coaches and the gator fan steps in to let us know the main guy is on the trail. Visiting Peterman, I presume?

:salute:Well we got good news. Leach has verbally agreed at Washington State. So it seems that UCLA Defensive Coordinator position is the only other job or bullet we have to dodge and keep Wilcox

I noticed that too......I'll bet CDD is glad to get away from all this crap....

I would like to see Dooley take over Special teams and Wilcox to take over our dbs. That alone would free up two staff spots. That way we can hire a running backs coach and new oline coach.

This would be fine with me too but many posters skewered CPF for not having a ST coach.

Guys, I've got a question and I know I'm gonna get hounded but here it is. If we can offer more money than mid-majors can to assistants, why wouldn't we just go get the number 1 rushing team's OC and bring him on. I understand its more than that and schemes, but I mean could it really not be a gain or plus to the staff? I'm not saying bring in Navy, Air Force, or GT's O-line coach, but someone who is a traditional O-line coach.

JC is a former OL coach, and he also also had a Purdue team that rushed for over 2500 yrds. But factoids like that don't fit the fire JC agenda.

Factoids like we absolutely suck running the football with him as offensive coordinator are what people base their opinions on. What he did at Purdue 10-15 years ago doesn't change the fact that we're 118th in the country in rushing and didn't improve one bit in two years with the same offensive line.

How many wins do we need next year for you to be satisfied with the direction of UT football?

8 at least. And I think we should be competitive for the whole game in every game. If there is no improvement next year, I will volunteer to help load the moving van, or tar and feather. Whichever one is deemed appropriate.

this is my favorite time of year, just like Halloween... the idiots always show them selves and it cracks me up!! keep up the entertainment vn! btw this isn't directed to this particular thread just vn in general this time of year.

For me its not about # of wins. If we played inspired football and looked like we wanted to win then I am fine with whatever although I would love to at least be in the discussion for the East in the upcoming half a decade. The problem is not wins and losses, it is about Tennessee going from a school of deep tradition and excellence to the laughing stock of the SEC.

When former players have no faith, current players have no respect and are allowed to "Not try because all they get is a ****ty bowl game if they win" while others curse and shout at their position coaches and teammates then we have a LOT more problems with wins and losses and offensive-defensive schemes.

Looks like Swain's sources are as bad a everyone else's. Isn't Dooley in Florida recruiting today anyway?

Except these fools are just idiots on a message board, without them, places like Volnation don't exist. Swain took to Twitter AND the airwaves, reported this crap just like everyone else, all the while dogging others for spreading the same type of rumors.

When "celebrities" (notice the quotations) have audiences that are exponentially larger than that of a normal person, you would think they would use more of a filter and/or care more about looking like a fool.

Do we have a schedule yet? Will there be 9 conference games or 8?

UF/UGA/USCe- at least one but preferrable two.

There's 7 without knowing who UT will draw from the west. I am going to say 8 is the bare minimum. However I think anything less than 10 should require him to win 10 in '13 or be gone.
